Grrrr Microphone Problems
 

well i just got on graal and i cant get my microphone to work :(
i went to options etc and it says failed to initialize microphone i can use it for CS and talking on AIM, can someone tell me whats wrong

I can talk but it sound crappy.

yeah my microphone is generic also

In the general options, uncheck the box "USD packets" or something like that
Then try again

heck no! UDP is the only thing that keeps Graal streaming for me instead of everyone lagging until I leave the room again!

Maybe you need to add the mic as new hardware or something

go to your computers Volume and sound options and check ALL sound options at full blast. Close ALL sound applications, then open graal. Then go into Audio opitions in graal and put all volumes DOWN TO LOWEST POINT except voice. Then, check Microphone enabled. Then, set your volume to MAX(loud point) then, in the codec spot select LPC or whatever it is(you may have to test out the three options, varies through computers) and then apply changes then go on graal! hold down 'T' and talk! if it doesn't work, re-hook up your mic, change the codec setting, and mess with your comp :D
