Assuming the message is not related to the way staff accounts work, and would be received by anyone whose p2p time had run out - since when did a lifetime last a month? Sure, I appreciate that giving people the rest of their graal life on that account free access to classic servers may not be a money spinner, but surely only a month after paying isn't enough, considering that many will pay just so they can play the classic servers without limits, and will be shocked when they don't get what they thought they were paying for.


As for valikorlia, which imo is the only enjoyable server other than classic, every time I try to log on it claims that 'the server got illegal data from your connection'. i tried it with p2p account shockedfrog and classic staff account shockedfrog_FAQ. I asked people on classic and they said they had no trouble ocnnecting to val, so the problem lies with me. any graal or val staff or players know whats going on?

I would say it met the ghost limit, but it seems that I have that problem on other servers WITH a p2p account.

All accounts - including staff accounts - have 1 month free registration. All accounts with lifetime registration read in with lifetime registration. Just checked.

Sometime in the next month, either official staff accounts will get registered, or we're all gonna get shoved onto our own pay accounts. Hey, 100 staffers, $15 each, I'd screw over my staff for $1500 dollars. =_=

According to the old announcement, all previously upgraded accounts would be treated as $15 upgrades once they ran out...

They are, I believe. I was under the impression that this thread was concerning staff accounts, which can currently play their server without restrictions, for free. Since these were never upgraded to begin with, the "lifetime playerworld access" does not apply.

From what it says in newfeatures2002.txt - maybe we can set locally Registered accounts?

What is the problem here?
On Classic there are more than 80 active staff accounts, we cannot just give all of them a free upgrade. They got 1 month of playing time on Classic, we will need to manage the classic+playerworld staff accounts till then.

For adding new staff you can add a line like this to the server options:
staff=Stefan,Birdbird_0, etc.
That gives the listed accounts local adminlevel 1 when they login

no problemo, i was just worried about player accounts. maybe the message for trial accounts in the 3o day trial should say 'thanks for downloading graal' rather than 'thanks for buying' and keep the 'thanks for buying graal' message for lifetime accounts that have run out of p2p juice.

Level1 RC is all you can get with staff=projectshifter,stefan, etc. so how do you do level2 and so on? I'm confused, so like if you put:
staff=stefan
then stefan gets RC axx right? Then i guess you can just edit rights?
