A new exe topic that actually has content!
 

Well, I'm very impressed by the new exe! I have to say, the new features are great (although I'm not really interested in the voice option)

I love the status, and especially that it can be modified on the server including the icons and everything. I LOVE that the player's profile can also be modified. Now Oasis will have proper stats instead of a bunch of things like "canspin" which isn't needed. :)

I of course, love the mouse and new keyboard stuff. I haven't really tested, but I'm guessing there still isn't a way to disable keys? (like pausing and map)

Anyone else have anything to add about the new stuff?

I couldn't find the mouse commands anywhere. :(

But, I did notice two new script things: You can now replace and delete strings, and there is now a command to detect if a player is online.

Also, I have a little question.. It says that now files over 64k can be downloaded from the server.. but it's not even possible to upload files over 64k on the RC FTP, so is there going to be an update to RC?

edit: Plus there are no icons on the serverlist now.. which means we can't tell what is UC and what isn't. Is there going to be a change or something, so that all UC is private, or what?

Are you sure those are new? I thought we got them a while ago.

You can't still not upload big files because it should not be possible to share mp3 files or so via Graal. You have to ask me to upload the file, possibly by sending it by email or posting it on the forum (e.g. tiles)

Okay. While you are here, could you tell me if we can start putting light effects on the "free" servers now?

In your example for keydown2 and keycode you used two arguments for keycode - was that a mistake or is there a second parameter that you didn't mention?

I cant access the graal2001 website nor d/l the new version.
WOuld someone do me a favor and just post the newfeatures txt file and any other new txt files that came with the new graal?

On a separate note... my friend does not have his account upgraded. If he signs onto Graal today.. would all his stuff be gone?

I am downloading it right now so I haven't checked yet, but did you just look in the commands.rtf? Did you check newfeatures.txt for the new commands?

my graal crashes at an average of once every hour now. :(

Yeah, i keep getting "The server has recived illgeal data... blah blah blah" and "Canvas does not allow drawing" and sometimes the server just wont load... Also, on my staff account it says i have 29 days to pay @_@ will we have to pay for our RC accounts?

THe new EXE would be great...

It's locked up my computer several times I think.. I haven't had my computer lock up for months and now all the sudden today it's froze like 3 times.

Yeah and I keep getting told that they have recieved illegal data from my connection.....?

i love how you can set you status... either Online, Away, or DND :)

I think I messed up my download. Where can you change that?

playerlist.. bottom of it right above the two buttons. ;)

I love how the pw owner can add/edit that list and put their own stuff there with their own icons.. like instead of:

Online
Away
DND

A roleplaying PW could have:

Online
Away
DND
Questing
RPing

Or something.. and since the icon shows up on the playerlist and on map, it might be helpful for other things like "Assist" so when a player sets their status to "assist" then it means they are stuck, or need staff to come and help, so the staff could check the list, see the icon, and go to their aid. :)

I like the mouse and keyboard features. they are spiffy indeed.


I am working on a menu system now. So far I got buttons poping up from the bottom of the screen complete with rollovers when you click them.

I need to practice with it though. I haven't been playing graal much for the past 3 months so I got a little rusty. And I just need practice in general o.0

And the "Canvas does not allow drawing" error, That only appears when you're running out of system resources. :)
