P2P Scripting vs. Non-P2P Scripting
 

I have always scripted NON-p2p. ANd now with everything gone p2p, we can use more stuff. I know a lot of commands, but the NPC Server stuff and the p2p commands i don't :( Anyone know of a guide or something that would help? Thanx. Oh, btw, EVERYONE and EVERY SERVER will be able to use p2p stuff and an NPC Server correct? l8er

Who decides that? I am pretty sure i can figure out all of the commands in not too long of a time. How would we obtain one or try to show that we have competent scripters?

Search this thread or the npc server thread for npc_server_scripting_doc.txt and get that file, then all you need to do is read it, then have a friend or someone test it upgraded fashon, if it doesn't work, trial and error is the best way to learn. However, you will not have any more commands at your fingertips unless you get a job on a upgraded server...

EVERY server is now upgraded! And i have a job on Sanstrata as a NAT. LOL, does that qualify? heh. So ne idea on where this file is @ and exactly what does it contain?

Just an update, i have checked ALL over the NPC Scripter and NPC Server boards, and i have checked all the attachments and come up w/ nothing =/ ne help would be appreciated :) If you could upload it or something that would be so AWESOME! ;)

If you have GOOD non-npcsserver world with GOOD NPCS you MGIHT be given an NPCs Server to further benifit your world. they dont just throw NPCs servers at you. "Here Delteria! now you can wreck the UNIVERSE!!" Doesn'at work like that

Oh, and ProjectShifter, what I mean by upgraded is not, "Player world is p2p or requires you to have a p2p account to use", but "Playerworld HAS an NPC Server...", Sans, doesn't...

I hope N-Pulse gets a NPCServer, getplayer is the 1337est command.

I hear they got one good scripter. I forgot how to spell his name. I don't remember if I've seen any of his scripts. =/

Ah, Panny is still owner, she isn't the best, but she is nice :D Riot was recently fired =/ and Sern is back! So Sern is a pretty good scripter, and w/ a few bottles of pure caffeine, i can script pretty well, i just have to learn some new commands for an NPC Server. Our NPCs as of now aren't too bad, i just have to figure them out :P

Actually Sage is a very good scripter. npulse was my original job, wow, NAT on npulse, I was so excited. Then Geovannie decided that it was a wise decision to make everyone stop using guild tags. :( Which made me quit, and got my bud Exodus quite mad at me. That server is cool I have worked as a friend and co-worker of Sage and he is very professional. :) nice guy too.

Sans has now died :'( So i'm looking for a job on another server now...
