Word "Noob" and it's usage...
 

I am pretty tired of everyone calling me a noob for one reason or another... they seem to call people "Noob" for everything these days.
I killed a person I am a "Noob".
I healed a person that almost died I am a "Noob".
I killed a team of 3 people I am a "Speed Hacking Noob".
Now it starts to get on my nervs... people who came after the age of P2P think they can call anyone a "Noob". All I ask from readers of this mesage to use that word when it is appropriet, to a person with less then 50 hours. Everything else is no longer a noob. Everything over that is different swearing words which i shall not tell.

"Newbie" I can understand. But "noob" (or, if you prefer, "n00b") has become just a general, all-purpose insult for any online game. What it basically says is "Your skillz are infinitely inferior to mine. You are below pond scum. Observe as I 0wn your ass." I guess it's a relative term; the insultee is a n00b in comparison to the insulter.

As such, I have no problem even with using it myself.

I was called a n00b today because I was paused in the water, idling as usual.

lmao. That is one of the most stupidest words I ever heard.
You know how many people go around saying it for no reason.
My 6 year old nephew played Graal for a month but we had to take him off because he was obsessed with the word noob.

When I'm on Classic the only people that call me a "Noob" are actually newbies themselves.

I have been called a "NOOB PAUSER" for checking PMs while I was in AC.

I have been called a "n00b" for killing people under the bridge.

Someone said to me "fuk u 4 takin my kill!" when I killed a guy that was being chased by the person that said that to me.

Hoss has been called a "table lamer" for sitting at the chairs in AC, and so have I when I was on my GP account.

Classic is the best place to be called a "n00b" because they mass it out and you get fame at last. :D :rolleyes:

It is just weird that the real "n00b" is usually the one calling you that.

No, but when they call you a n00b just go yes i am a n00b.

Well, agreeing with them doesn't feel as good as killing them....

I only use n00b to describe somebody who gets cheap kills, asks for money, or pauses when they are gonna die. I don't use it to describe someone who's actually new (unless they do something that makes me call them a n00b.) and I never use "n00b" in 2k1.

LoL... I took one guy from his top health to his bottom, when I was in bomy form, and I don't even tell you about the guy who tried to kill me while i was doing that. Anyhow the first guy pauses and calles me "annoying newb" =/ I tell you, this is getting out of control!

Oh Please, I haven't been called noob once snce I returned; but then again I'm not competing to kill everyone.

i was playing jet set radio future and the robot used the word n00b. i was disgusted

=) People seem to not understand that they are not the best on this server... Crimson is...
Anyhow as soon as people will get through their heads that you can't call somebody a noob after you killed em because it makes you sound like a total *****, they will know the truth...

If you actually care/are offended by someone calling you a "newbie" (or any of the many hybrid terms) then you have some serious insecurity issues you need to address.

like two months ago, I went on classic for the first time since like that reset a while back. Some guy called me a newb even though i had 1k+ hours. And that was my NEWER account.

Someone called PSYKER! *****! That one is funny . I get called a noob occasionally, like when i kill them 3 or 4 times and then i want to heal. Yeah, i can kill them and they can heal but i can't? *****, and then people call me a noob just b/c i warp (warpto x y location) and then i say "look @ my account name" sanstrata_nat5, and they're like "i'm sorry sir" and WTF is w/ people calling me SIR? OMG, it isn't like i'm god (that would be nice! LOL) but geese, i'm just another player w/ god-LIKE! powers, not a god myself, heh.

The only thing you can tell about a person by hours is how much of an addict they are....or how much of a life they dont have. :p
A better way is how many days since they first played graal.

Playing graal on a 56K was hellish. Especially when it was the only server and it seemed to move at 1 FPS.
