Has an Airbrushed look to it.
Concentrate on your lighting. Where is the light coming from, from what I see it looks like almost every angle. Try not to have too much depth on your grass, it will never look right with the player standing on it, or rocks, trees, etc... siting right above it, they way you made the grass it would actualy cover a few pixils of the feet, and footings of your npc's and such. The key to Graal Graphics, is useability. Those trees look fine alone, but do they fit togeather well? If these are tiles and not just NPC Images, are your tiles consistant? Can tiles from these be re-used to create diferent combinations? Exacialy Identical trees never occure in nature, if your going for realisim, try to make a base that can be slightly modified each time. The reason current Graal graphics work, even though the trees look the same, is that they arn't made to look realistic, you look at the current tileset and you know instantly: this is a game. Nice work so far. I'd give it a 7/10 Can't wait to see more from you :) |
ill post more screen shots later next month

Is it my imagination, or have you managed to make the level 3D (like Graal 2002)? And if so, HOW IN GOD'S NAME DID YOU DO IT?!
If you're not allowed to post that information, that's okay - you can tell me over AIM instead. ; ) |
