But this person is just lying to you. Unless hes using a trojan on you then he would of needed your ip you to run a program he sends or a string in a aim window.

I'm sure Windows provides at least some protection from such things. It's surely not stupid enough to delete itself.

Oh, I am completely sure.

If I tried to delete some files in my C:\Windows\system32 directory, it would replace them immediately.

I've known ways to delete the computer on restart, it does it when its not on windows when restarting, me and my friend did it to a school computer ;:)
