Wierd stuff on 2002 (sorry, multiple posts)
 

While exploring Graal 2002, I came upon some wierd things. The first is this strange bird thing, which I found in the top left corner of the "Main" area. It was not moving anywhere, but it was animated as if walking.

Next, I decided to explore the "Forest" area, which does not have a map yet. I figured there must be something out there, because the place I started in did not seem very foresty at all. It turns out I was right; I found what appears to be a new kingdom, in which all the houses are trees. Here are the gates...

...and here is a tower and one house.

Like in the castle in the "Main" area, I found one of these wierd crystals in the "Forest". Anyone have any idea what they are?

And lastly, it seems like the "Forest Kingdom" levels were simply stuck into the game, resulting in this ugliness.

So has anyone else noticed these things? Can anyone offer theories as to what they are?

That used to walk around, but I guess it got glitched or something, and was put over there.
But I do know one thing, it does not fit at all in Graal. =(

How come whenever I explore 2k2 in ghost mode all I see is black and an occasional house or tree?

Have you tried downloading the newest version?
If you have, you probably don't have the picso.png.

You don't have the tileset.. there's a post on the Graal main forums today asking someone to post the picso.png and someone did so go get it or something.

Where should I save it to?? The tiles on 2k2 have REALLY screwed up now. There's got to be a specific place to save this, right?

Mine is in my webgifs folder.
But if it still won't work, try placing it in your levels, and main folder.

Just make sure that you connect to Graal 2002 right from the start; that is, don't connect to another server then press F8 and connect to Graal 2002.

I hear 2K2 is coming out on Sunday, some guy who is on the staff said that somewhere, I doubt it though.

mmmmkay: Agh, I sure hope some of those levels are touched up...:(

I'd guess they'll be used so that one kingdom can take control over another kingdoms castle. Without needing to do any modifications by someone with FTP.
It's only a guess though.

As we noticed in preview all monsters look kinda out of game so my guess would be that is a monster, which you have to kill...

My guess would be each kingdom is able to build houses/towers/walls, however you'll probably need people and money to do that. Though it is pretty cool =)

This is probably from where archers will be able to shoot further. I hope terrenian effects the arrow movement!

In the true RP game you wouldn't have to say unstick me to get from one area to another. So this are the portals to that place where you choose to what island to go. Though it also mihjt as someone suggested be an ownership of the castle. But tne why same kinds of things are in the middle of nowhere?

I am pretty sure that adter you pointed that out they'll correct the hole thing.

All of my answers are just theories! None of them are relaiable!

All I can think of is to re-install graal.

I'll throw one at you, you do not have the newest picso.png which will not be given to the public until the release date of Graal2002. Some of those tiles were replaced with different ones, that is why they look bad and some of the other levels look bad.

james can you tell us if server is going to be reset or not?

I'm almost certain it will be reset.

Yeah, their biggest mistake ever was to become partly public, if they never had done that they'd never have had people complain that it still isn't finished.

2k2's version of the chicken...?

Hit that one about 30 times and a flock come to kill you, yet don't kill you by pecking at you--but by lagging you to death.

Graal2002 being so public...it almost seems like bragging, newworld created a pretty much unprecidented level of hype in graal, because it was so secret, and it just kept growing.

Could 2k2 just soon be grown up :rolleyes:
