Graal2001_FAQ 03-20-2002 09:51 AM

Wrong password!

I don't understand how this is possible.

My password changed earlier sometime between yesterday and today. I don't know who did it or how it happened, but it's caused a lot of stuff.

My forum account (Torankusu) is now inaccessable because the password seems to not be either of the ones I had.

If anyone is able to help me with the forum account password, or you know who changed my password to begin with, tell me.

I changed your password to "email a [email protected]
or forum pm one of the Account Managers or Account Admin...."

Graal2001_FAQ 03-20-2002 09:56 AM

Try reading it.

I have access to the account, just not the forum. Hello?

I don't have any accessable e-mail addresses that I consider secure, so it won't really help.

If I did, I would not be able to log onto the account to change it.

Googi 03-20-2002 10:08 AM

Use "forgot your pass" to get a new pass, then delete the email they send you as soon as you get your new pass.

I know, so use the insecure one, but delete the E-MAIL you get.

Graal2001_FAQ 03-20-2002 10:18 AM

Well, I have no e-mail address, actually.

No use, unless you or Unixmad fixed it.

Your forum password remains the same as when you signed it up I think, even if you change the password of the account.

Yes. Or unless you change the forum pass. The password for Graal, and for the forums can be two different passwords.

Last I heard it was actually the exact opposite of that.

Domini 03-21-2002 02:00 AM

When you use the password changer on the site, I'm sure it resets your forum password as well, I don't know if editing the account serves the same purpose though.

Torankusu:

Argh.

Someone changed my Graal2001_FAQ one too, and it has no set e-mail I think. Now I cannot use that forum account either.

I'll wait for Stefan.

That isn't the case anymore. I used to have a different password for the client, and the forums, but since I have changed my password, they both have changed to the same new one, rather than just on the client.

Also, on the front page of http://www.graal2001.com is a news post mentioning this, and how to fix it.

-Edit-

Nevermind, it only leads to the password changer, which isn't an option for a fair amount of people.

Bhala 03-21-2002 11:51 AM

If you use the pass word changer on the site it changes all your passwords including your forum pass... but then you can go on the forums & change just you forum pass.....

Try reading the posts.

The site needs an e-mail, which I don't have.

Lyndzey 03-22-2002 08:02 AM

It's just a bug, have an admin change your email on your staff account, so you can change your password.

I don't have an e-mail, and my staff account cannot have an e-mail. Temporary might be allowed, but I have no e-mail.
