Music Forum?!

Hey DarkVillin Here. I am a very talented midi and sfx maker. You think it would be possible to get a Music Forum? Then other artists could share their latest midis.

stomper_TK 03-12-2002 12:14 PM

You can make music on a computer.. WOW! Tell me what I need :D

DoragonKoden_Admin3 03-12-2002 12:22 PM

I like this idea! Classic has a lot of great midi music (some would argue against that I suppose...)

Graal 2001 lost a lot of the magic Classic had because it doesn't have music! Music is an important part of a game, just as important as good sound effects and good graphics.

I hope Graal 2002 will have music :) I like the idea of a Music Forum

I doubt we have many midi musicians around here, but if we had a forum for it, it could spark a growth in the population to fill that void, or encourage others to make their own music

Psyker 03-12-2002 12:23 PM

You know, I'd love to grab some new Midis for Graal...

stomper_TK 03-12-2002 12:24 PM

I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO MAKE MUSIC!

AlkarenHyralt 03-12-2002 12:27 PM

Forum wouldn't get enough hits, nor be active enough to be worth it.

stomper_TK 03-12-2002 12:29 PM

Well it would be a place for people to rate music and post it. That's all it would be used for Alkaren. Why would it get a lot of hits?

Also I'm intreged by this "music"! I want to make some :D :D

if even one graal song comes out of that forum, it would be worth it. how many hits or posts a forum gets doesn't mean jack, only what good comes from it. I think it could do some good

Faheria_GP4 03-12-2002 12:35 PM

I would post all midis for you all to rate =D
Stefan likes my music :p

here is a good way to start :)

go to www.modplug.com

they have free tracking software there (you use it to make loop music like mods and midi)

they also have some guides and tutorials for beginners!

It would probably get more trafic than most of the kingdoms forums, more than the rumer has it before it has taken down, and possibly more than the New Races

Forums need to be cleaned up in general, and get rid of the dead forums. They only take up space in MySQL database

Faheria_GP4 03-12-2002 12:41 PM

:) That would be cool if there was a music forum :)
-Im really good with music. Agelaos, Contego, slp, Pir, and Stefan all like it. I think Stefan just forgot about meh. LoL oh wells

DoragonKoden_Admin3 03-12-2002 12:43 PM

stomper_TK 03-12-2002 12:48 PM

>_< I seriously need a keyboard (one with a midi jack which most of them do have these days)

Faheria_GP4 03-12-2002 01:11 PM

If you have a keyboard just look in the back, you can usually find sometype of adapter too hook it up to your computer. I have 6 things hooked up to my mixer which is hooked up to my computer. I swear it started smoking one day ;)

stomper_TK 03-12-2002 01:13 PM

Galen's da man! Sadly, you won't see much made by me >_< But I will participate in all music threads, i'm very interested.

If I ever compose anything I think is actually worth being evaluated though, I'll be sure to make a thread for all to see.

stomper_TK 03-12-2002 04:34 PM

I don't get how this works at all! :( :(

Birdbird_0 03-12-2002 04:54 PM

I use Fanale2002, cakewalk sonar and homestudio and other cakewalk prgrams for sfx

stomper_TK 03-12-2002 05:29 PM

Depends, can you read music?

stomper_TK 03-12-2002 05:49 PM

Well it's not that hard. Like notes and stuff. Yeah I can read like drumb beats. And if you want some Jazz just mix it up. Heh beauty of jazz.. I can read some notes but not that well.

Jazz is alot more than simply "Mixing up notes"

stomper_TK 03-12-2002 06:22 PM

Well let's continue about me learning this stuff birdbird! Cmon finish it.

And yes I do know some notes. :)

James205 03-12-2002 06:31 PM

Music would go under the not graal related forum

Bird2prey 03-12-2002 07:29 PM

Bleh, all the music in Graal sucks, I just listen to my Hip-Hop CDs.
