Just to show you...

... How much Photoshop 0wnz, i thought I'd show a little before and after... here is a graphic I made in paint a while back...

(BEFORE)

haunter 03-07-2002 03:44 AM

And...

Now, this is after i brought it into Photoshop the other day, notice a difference? I think this would be very hard to do in MS Paint, I would fall over in awe at anyone who could acctually do that in paint...

(AFTER)

TDO2000 03-07-2002 04:01 AM

Acctually, alot of people said they prefer MS Paint 0.o

Slaktmaster 03-07-2002 05:45 AM

I prefer Paint out of those two, but I like PSP more.

Retared 03-07-2002 06:04 AM

yeah i like psp 7 too, i like the chrome effect that i put on a real like trea, try it, looks amazing.

SaijinGohan 03-07-2002 06:41 AM

you would be surprised at what you can make and do with paint, it is just hard to find all the features. I am poor so I cant afford psp 7, ^_^, and I do some pretty nice stuff with paint.

haunter 03-11-2002 01:47 AM

You mean filters? i dont use those, i used the, Burn, Dodge, Sponge, Blur, Smudge, and Sharpen tools ;O

shavomombetto 03-12-2002 07:36 AM

I like using MS Paint because you have more control over what your doing instead of having a program do it for you. IT's easy to manipulate MS Paint's "additional colors" to create nifty lighting effects without having to go through all the options in PSP or Adobe Photoshop.

I could probably do all those effects with PSP without any effects (I'd get pissed at changing the colors so frequntly in paint and give up) -- but then again... why? If I could afford photoshop I'd get it in a snap... Maybe that's not a good example of what it can do... but this is:

I prefer MS Paint...And i can make make good light effects with MS Paint too. Alot of the stuff in Graal look like more of the style of things that can be made in MS Paint, so thats what I use lol. Ok i guess I can post this since its been on Babylon for a while now, its a deer I had made during the summer, before I got comfortable with my new style.

homeless1 03-15-2002 11:04 AM

When it was scripted, I realized that the back front leg on the side views were to far out lol...looked bad in the animation to me. I never went back to change it though because it just wasnt that important lol.

konidias 03-16-2002 05:50 AM

You can always tell a bad artist when they use photoshop/paintshop effects on sprites and tiles.

Giving a sprite a glow effect, chrome effect, plastic effect, or using gradients is NOT giving it lighting and shading. It just looks like an image that you used a filter on. Artists around the world laugh at you. :)

homeless1 03-16-2002 09:16 AM

lol yah I'd have to agree. Anybody can make stuff with those new fangled gadgets, it takes a bit more skill to to make something with ms paint and have it come out looking right. (pixil by pixil owns you all)
