Solar System

1 Attachment(s)
[show-off]I made this model of our solar system, put in the sun, nine planets, meteor belt, Oort cloud, Earth's moon, Jupiter's largest moon (the name escapes me now), and stars. (yes I know I did not script the stars part but if I did it would be pretty much the same so why bother?)
The sun and planets aren't exactly proportional in size, but their distance from the sun and speed are all correct, (found the info on nasa.gov). Don't know if I'll add anything more untill I learn about vectors and stuff and can figure out how to make it atleast semi-3d.
Well anyway, Enjoy![/show-off]

rofl you might wanna look at what you put into the zip before you post it, the extention is .chad x_x;

Pretty nice. Was especially neat with my drempels background....you might try making some lighting effects for a background.

darkriders_p2p 02-26-2002 09:47 AM

sorry my mistake you can rename it back to .graal extention and it will work. But that doesn't work for everything.
The funny bug I would like to express though is u disabled weapons BUT if you press "S" and "D" you enable your D button again and try to fire arrows or lay bombs, you get the entire sprite.png :D

:megaeek: *Love Shaped Drool* <3 :megaeek:

Looks good man. Like they said, if you press the S and D key your weapons get enabled. An easy way to stop that would be to put the disableweapons command in a timeout.

I save all my levels as '.nyght' so newBs have a little more trouble stealing my work ...

nyghtGT 02-27-2002 04:51 AM

the bugs with the small form are numerous and annoying, I made that for something else and just put that in there for effect, don't really feel like fixing it since Im doing something else with it and that works sofar. Gravitational forces would be good, I just need to figure a way to do that :p
There is alot that I would like this to do, but I fear that I am not currently able to do most of those so this may be one of those projects that gets forgotten...

I want to say the moon's name is Titan... but I could be wrong. (Probably am)

-Edit-
Really nice script though, I especially liked how you made the character small and things like that. I'll get in contact with you to talk about something.
-Edit-

-2nd edit-
<3 if you turn to your left and use a bomb, it sticks to the player's back... Reminds me of sticking mines on people... Hmm...

Slightly inaccurate, but still slightly less so than a simple revolve-around-the-sun system ;)

Kai, were not all Gods of Physiks like you ...

Yeah erm God like creatures of physics (tries to picture one now with their bald head and big slass's, hunched over a table with a bottle of acid in one hand and a tub of explosives in the over giving out an evil laugh)

:) jk
