Idea!

Well, one day I was hanging around at OML (oneminuteleft.com) Forums, when I noticed what they had done with the forums...

...what they had done, was when you register, you are locked out of the main forums (they appear with the closed lock symbol), and forced to use the newbie forum...

...now what I am getting at here is that maybe there could be a forum for non-P2P users at this site? (Maybe something like "Classic Forum")...it would be nice to have a place to talk with people who have had their accounts run out

My god yes.. and at least be able to ask anyone if they can loan you an account or something. Would be nice.

Yes that's a great idea, but you would need some heavy moderating because you might get spammers and such

Very Easy to do. Create a new board that the group guests can only go in. In the administrator options it says if guests are allowed to post or not but I dont know how you would get past there if the group guests could not post because it checks for that first in the code. I am used to YaBB. Cya.

There'd be chaos on the free forum and it'd look bad for GraalOnline.

stricter rules... No warning, first offence is a ban =D or a post count drop

And how would bans stop dedicated troublemakers?

zell12 02-18-2002 05:35 AM

if they Spam, ban them, and if they make another account, ip ban them

IP bans don't always get rid of somebody for good.

Sounds good.
The mod would have a tough job though.
And spammers would be hell.
But if they got the right balance of mods who are on a lot then it might work out.
