Hmm,

Im guessing its a first try though... next time spend a littel longer and uses shading with dark and light colors. Plus also if you use paint zoom in to the power of *8 and work on small parts like that. Then when done with the part zoom out and see what it looks like. If you like it move on... if not zoom back in again.
