I think suggesting mouse scripting stuff is like an initiation for Graalians. You can't consider yourself truly one of us until you've done it.

well, it's obvious it can be done (as shown by the editor npcs), the only question that remains is: why the hell hasn't it been done?

I think because....it would take away from the game play. It's probably because was clicked would have to be a server side command, and everytime the player clicked, it would send it to the server. If you did it client side...there wouldnt be much use for it.
Besides, it would kind of take away some of the game play. Its graal, not Diablo ;).

well, if the server doesn't want it, it doesn't have to use it, besides, I am really thinking that the primary use of mouse features would be clientside, and any non-clientside use would be through triggeraction anyways

It would be good for GUI's, but then again, isn't it much funner to use a cool interface that you can work with the keyboard? :)

Stefan could've added it years ago, but he chooses not to for gameplay reasons. I'm personally indifferent.

Official reason, last check:
Stefan someday hopes to port this to console (see: Graal GBA), so adding mouse control would be just one more thing he'd have to remove later.

i remember stefan said that graal wasn't supposed to be a mouse orinated game :P

Porting a Z3 Copy (not so much now, still same basic idea) to its owner? (nintendo) I highly disagree with that but i do not own Graal. I have no say in this.

well, most intelligent people aren't going to make the whole game revolve around mouse-clicking, but we could add some nice features that would be otherwise be difficult

- minigames
- menus
- clicking on certain things for more information (maybe, i dunno)
- staff tools (see note below)

note below: maybe a staff tool could be made where you could right-click a player and a menu would be brought up with items like "Warp Player > Jail 1, Jail 2, Jail 3, Start Location, etc."
