Few Playerworld Questions.
 

First off, to ip ban someone, do you have to put their account:ip address in ipbanned.txt? Is it still possible to ip ban players from your server? Also, for the updated rc, when you upload gfx's such as heads/bodies/shields, do you still have to put them in the main level and also their assigned folder, or just their assigned folder?

IP Ban: I don't know but the /openban command is the only way I do it.

GFX: okay, huh let me explain, on RC you have a 'Folder Configuration' like this:

body bodies_faheria/*
head heads_faheria/*
sword swords_faheria/*
shield shields_faheria/*
level *.graal
level *.nw
file *.png
file *.mng
file *.gif
file *.gani
file *.wav
file *.txt

And then you have to add the folders to your accounts' rights:

rw levels/*
rw levels/gifs/*
rw levels/bodies_faheria/*
rw levels/heads_faheria/*
rw levels/swords_faheria/*
rw levels/shields_faheria/*
rw temp/*
r logs/*.txt

r means read
w means write

then they can just go on another acct. IP ban gets ridda them for good, unless their IP changes

yea I need to know how to IP Ban. Also...why dont images I upload work anymore? I tried putting new heads in gifs, main and heads folder. none of them work =/

check your folder config, remove the .png after the *

Hmm... what I meant was that when you uploaded an image such as a head, you would have to put the file into the main folder AND the heads folder, do you still have to do this with the new rc? Because I am thinking of giving a staff rights just to uploading images, but if he needs access to the main levels folder then he can't get it.

For ip bans, I THINK, you have to create a txt document named ipbanned.txt and then put the account:ip of that player... Not sure if this is the right way to do it but it has been effective so far. Also, normal banning is not working with some accounts, I ban and d/c them, and they just simply sign back on.

You only have to upload the head image into the heads_folder
As for the RC Rights, giving acces to the head/swords/shields/images folders do not give acces to the folders before them (in this case, the folder levels cant be accessed).

Ok, thanks, just wanted to make sure because you used to have to put them in both.

For ip ban you want to make a txt file in your /levels folder or wherever you place txt files at
then name it ipbanned.txt
then you just put in their ip like if I want to ban a few ppl i would just put

172.52.39.36
24.51.53.855
or u can do like by ranges
172.52.39.*
24.51.*.*

Ah, so you don't need the account:ip you just have to put the ip address? Thanks again Liquid :)
