i quickly looked through it... and this is the information i found.

I scanned the zip file using Norton Antivirus:
TROJAN2039.GSCHEAT2K2.ZIP

And we all know what trojans do...right...they moniter your actions.

So i quarentined/deleted the virus, and opened the zip file without the trojan, and this is what i now found.

GCHEAT2K2.EXE

That means the "hack" is therefore a patch, and patches either contain:

1> Virus
2> Virus that alters another programs settings
3> Virus that alters your computers settings

That concludes that this program is DANGEROUs

The zip cant be a virus, the files within the zip can and in this case they do.

Well i did scan the whole g2k2cheat.zip file
and i found that trojan
the trojan was in G2K2Cheat.exe
anything that has an exe ending and you find a virus in it, then its a virus right? :rolleyes:

A zip file is a file that has other files compressed in it

when you find something with the virus SOMETHING.ZIP
it would meen that one of the compressed files in the ZIP has a virus

Fool, this is a virus however patches dont all contain virri, A patch can be anything that alters programing such as cracks.

Patches must use a virus to alter anything, including a crack

No, Scan a patch from astalavista.box.sk bet it wont have a virus, Dont compete with me about stuff I know.

Do you even know why they call trojan servers patches?

arch_slayer's argument is fairly logical - what's the difference between editing system settings in such a way as to harm the user, and modifying program code to update a program? It very much hinges on the definition of a virus, which has become lax nowadays. In recent times, even a program that just formats C:/ would probably be classed as one, even though it doesn't actually infect anything as classic virii should.

So, a couple of counterarguments:

1) Patches don't always modify code. Sometimes they just replace files like images and exes, and sometimes they're not even executable files.
2) Since patches don't infect stuff or whatever, they're not technically classic virii.
3) If we ignore 2), choosing to side with common wisdom on the definition of a virus then we have to inherit with that common wisdom's belief that patches are not virii.

Make of that what you will.

ok listen i gave that acount to Hawk, becuase he wanted a undercover acount, becuase he didnt want poeple to bother him, i didnt know this was going to happen, ill just change the password now and it will be fixed

First off a trojan server is called a server, its been granted the name patch due to the changes to your system when ran. Which is what a patch does a program that changes an already existing program.

The account was abused, the account gets banned. If you suffer as a result then that's your fault; you are responsible for any actions performed on your account, except if control of the account was taken without your knowledge (in which case it's usually your fault anyway but that's another story).

Ye gods...hack 30 hats? But not all? It does add a touch of realism, until you realize it's easier to do all than just 30. They don't exactly require individually tailored code, unless you're an utter *****....
