Lagoonia Map

Here it is:
www.lagoonia.f2s.com/map.html
I put it in an html file incase people have quicktime (like me), because it is really bothersome and you cannot see the whole picture.

The water edges look like trash, but I'm working on them (if you look at the south west corner, you can see i started over there).
Other than that, Mr. Knorr said he liked the looks of it. :)

Ok, first, it's "too" as opposed to "to."
Second, yes, it is square, because im not finished with the water boarder.

As for the map "sucking," different things appeal to different people. It's your opinion, and you're entitled to it, although, cronstructive critism is welcome as well ;)

Sorry, but even by looking at the map you can tell the levels stink.. Just look at the big sand path.. it's WAY too straight.. I mean the player would be walking to the right for about 6-8 levels with barely any noticeable change in the path.

Then the buildings don't look that great, and that big rectangle area to the right, what is that a futuristic battle arena? It doesn't fit the map at all. I'm not going to comment on the squareness of the land since you said you're working on it. The tree patterns in part of the forests look okay though I guess.

The thing I hate about people dissing things is that at least 75% of the people who diss the stuff cant do half as good as the person they dissed

As for the sand path, if youre talking about the one at the bottom...that isnt a path.
Youre right, the buildings dont look that great on the map, but up close they are ok.
Big rectangle is the start of a city. I know it doesnt fit the map, it's not supposed to. It's just empty right now until I get around to adding the houses.

Im working on what you guys said to make it look better.
Alkaren, yes, i know it's empty, I'm working on filling it.

I'm mainly an NPCs person, So I don't get time to do levels that often, but I try to juggle them in.

Anyways, thanx for your input everyone.

well it is kinda a good start the paths and stuff like koni said too straight, the squareness well will hopefully look better when u fix it. and get to work on filling in and detailing the lvls soon that is a very important part, with some time that map could look pretty cool but i dont normally say nething is bad until it is finished keep up the work
