Fai: More stuff on my PW
 

A lot of people said my char was too small, so I redid it. I tried to make a bigger more detailed one. Here's a screen of a dirt path by some hills with a female character in it. Right now the first tileset is almost done. The second will be the first with snow added. And I have 12 sets of character sprites to make, each with about 40 or so sprites. 10 of those 12 are just recoloring stuff and changing clothes styles. The map will be 8 levels (2x4) with like 50 or more indoor levels. No quests or anything like that. Everything's coming along pretty fast so I should be done by the end of February. I'm trying to make this look as good as possible so tell me what I should fix in it. I'll post more screens and character animations in this thread when I get some more done. All these posts were by Soul Blade ;). I even posted the first one, with instruction from Fai...hehe. And I put that because even before I told Kaimetsu that crap I shouldn't have out of ignorance, I was always the one offering Kai help...but anywho I never needed help anyway except on those ultimo annoying complicated mathematical scripts...

That's VERY nice I love your hills..And the grass is superb :)

I approve of that. I don't bother playing on most of Graal's servers nowadays even to see what they're like because they're more often than not totally huge. This means that all the levels are clumsily made and it takes a long time to find anything of interest because it's all diluted with useless space. A smaller world is great because it puts everything in front of you without making you spend a million years exploring blank land.

That's cool and all but don't you think it would be hell to customize? Or is there no customization? That would mean you would have to make like 50 or more of those people to actually have a little variety on the playerworld.

I liked it better when I it was smaller... for one simple reason... that one is too giant for yur server...

I also think small server is better but who said you need less time to find stuff =)

Yeah I looked through the directory.. it's got some cool stuff.. I like the town snapshot and the boat. :)

Very nice job Fai. I hope you are just showing us the tiles and all the levels will look like that, but it's very nice GFX, I'm sure your levels will be great.
