Before v2.13 revision 3 is released I would remove all
little bugs that might be in there. So far I have found: - when clicking on 'play' in the editor then the player is drawn on top of the level (like the editor cursor) - playersays doesn't work except when using in a timeout loop |
the scroll bars reset to the top of the level, or the top of the scroll, when you play then go back to editor, this is bad cuz x,y changes of player
id rather have walking guy back :|<---:( |
I got n error when I wanted to quit Editor eith no level opend... some Index-Error :/

And I can't download Graal, I deleted it and now it says I already downloaded and I don't have the exes. And it didn't work when I downloaded the new version when it worked because it said the .exe file was corrupt. |
Invincibility
i can't get online (i never could as previously posted) but in editor i am immune to explostions and projectiles, also compsdead does occur without timeout, but compusdied does. Also chest flags do not stay when you go to editor then back to play.

BAh, IF YOU DONT SAVE A LEVEL say it was new1.nw AND YOU PLAY IT AND YOU GO AN EDIT IT ITS LIKE new2.nw AND YOUR LEVEL IS LOST >.<

if u play a level, then press f4 again to edit it, the sandpath maker doesnt work.... it only works before u have played any levels.....

Well, its not really a bug but... Can you make it so NPC Weapons can read level.variables in NPC Server?

Edit: Oh yes, also: I don't know how much work it would take, but it would be nice to make it so when typing in the NPC Editing textbox, when you type a certain command, a tooltip comes up telling you how to complete it. :D ALSO: Fix the commands.rtf. Some things are wrong, like the keydown list and other stuff. Stefan, I will fix and send if you would like. Everything else is nice. :-D Good job Stefan |
I found another bug. It deals with the "Attack '-away' to when player list closed' option. Well, if an RC has that enabled, the playerlist doesn't update right when the RC's nick changes.

Stefan, I was told there is a bug that when you do a smiley (like ctrl+d) it screws up showimg. Can you fix that?
Also, would you consider adding the scripting power to babylon to add players to a guild with a NPC instead of FTP? |
Hehe isn't a bug but something really needed....A variable/string which can be sent clientside/serverside and read clientside/serverside.
Oh yeah, and all to often when using graalshop it restarts my computer...probably cause by my videocard and motherboard conflict, BUT...when playing games like RA2 or StarCraft, my comp never restarts, and those are far more graphical then GraalShop...hehe and it never restarted with the old graal shop, only with graal editor when I tried to save things. |

Hmm...need a in-editor template type thing... Well, I for one have never seen the commands you use in the sandpath thing, ? for instance, and the while (variable in blah)...tons of things that aren't in the commands list are in that, so I can't decypher it. So you should make something ingame designed for that, like a template type thing...where it asks you the corner tiles, inside tiles, side tiles, all that. And you can click and place it just like the path one...just a thought. I will decode that sand path in a bit after I finish some stuff...but my last attempt found it to be hard. Could you, Stefan, at least make a template for the sand path? |

Umm...it works like this:
When editing one level, it has bars...when editing more then one, it has a compass. Stefan, please do not change this. I think it works and looks superb... |
this happened to me once ..
like if you move the cursor thing over a link and it opens it up as a new level .. when you close it and switch back to that lvl .. the cursor is still on top of the link and it causes it to open the level back up |
Well I was plaing a level I made, and than it was one of the levels when you 1st play the level editor like it was new3.nw
and I didnt save it I was just building, than I went to play it and than pressed F4, and it became all grass and became new4.nw and alsoi on graal 2002 if you still walk into the black water it freezes you WHOLE computer up. |
I got Graal to work, don't know what I did. :)

plenty...
1) if you hit F4 (to go back to the editting mode) you can see a 4-way arrow. it happens to fast though and you can't click it or actually use it 2) my graal setup didn't download all the files. it didn't give me the level generator, or graal shop! i was wondering if you could make these stand alone? you could put them in the download section of the site 3) sometimes graal will freeze up for me and i have to restart my computer. i don't know why either, it was working perfect for i updated 4) i can't play without lagging really bad, unless i disable lightingeffects. but that's no fun :( hope i helped you out! |
i am using churchdoor.png
and i have this: if (playerenters){ dontblock; } normaly that would make it so that if i was above the bottom of the gfx it would draw over, or below it, draw under. but its not, and even if i put drawoverplayer, it doesnt draw over me. and STILL levels are deleted when you press play. i lost the same level two times because of this bug, and it makes me more mad each time. :mad: :grrr: when you are on an x,y for player, and go back to editor, the editor changes it to one farther over, even if you dont move at all. and since the editor focuses on the middle of the screen for x,y of player you cant really see where you are going to land, making it very hard to properly test and make things. i strongly suggest adding the walking man back to the editor. |

top of all objects, it will be fixed in 2.13 revision3 That level-disappearing still didn't happen to me, it would be a good help if you could help me figuring out how to reproduce the error |

Another way to get that sort of error:
Open a level (like bob.graal). Close the level. Open another level (steve.graal). Save this level with the original level's name (save steve.graal as bob.graal) Close the level. Open the original level (bob.graal) Say "OH NO, WHAT HAPPENED TO ALL MY CHANGES!" - it will be the original bob.graal Close Graal. Reopen Graal. Open bob.graal. It will be the copy of steve.graal like it's supposed to be. What's even more distressing, you'll get the cached level even if you don't close it - you load a level, change it, tab over, tab back, changes gone, that makes me a sad panda. |

I have also seen that the 'graalversion' variable has not been set to 2.13 which makes it kinda useless (will fix that too) |
Separate the Graal Client and the Level Editor. Perfect thing to do. :)
Or even better: Put the Level Editor and an Offline Only Graal Client into one program, and put an Online Graal Client into another. That eliminates most NPC "upload" hacking, etc. |
