Editor Controls rock.. anyone know how to make them?
1 Attachment(s)
Yes! Finally a super useful addition to the editor! This will save hundreds of hours of time consuming tiling.. I wanna see what can be done with this, I have no clue which tiles are what, (like wtf 0x176 is as a tile, someone needs to make a chart or something)
I tried to make a swamp thing and came out semi-successful.. I would like to see what this little baby can do.. just think.. it could be done to work with making water, swamps, grassy areas, pathways, mountains, trees.. this thing rocks my socks. Does anyone know how to make controls for this thing? I'm kind of in the dark on how to go about making one. Check out this little dirt area I made in oh.. 5 seconds using the new feature.. this would take a while to make the old way. |

whoa, that is nice :p
|
Where the hell is that???
Now anyone can make really good levels... what's the point of LATs now? |
Stupid... because of what Androk said.
|
But then again, it looks too generated.. too many of the big and small rocks if you ask me.
|
nice i like that
is there any way we can add our own stuff to it like we can add npcs to the npc bit |

Why are you all disappointed? Now levels will look 10 times better then before, and not take so damn long to make. Sure there are too many rocks, but you can edit it to exclude the rocks so you can add those yourself.. But for things like making groups of trees, swamp areas, paths, water, mountains, most all of the terrain stuff, this thing is awesome. |
You can script your own stuff to use for it.. you could use it for anything.. it supports 3 mouse buttons, you can't go wrong there.
Look in your levels/npcs/ folder, and the scripts are there.. just take a look at them. :) |
Is this on the new version??
|
yes it is on the new version
|
I still think it's very wrong... Now anyone with no abilities whatsoever can do wicked levels get good jobs! I mean now LATs are not needed only NATs... That's so wrong...

Where do I get this editor. Cuz I dun see it anywheres in the editor I got right now. I just see the thing to make predefined doors and lights. I dun see the new tile thingy.
|
It's with the newest version.. 2.13-2 or whatever it's called. It should be in the pre-defined NPCs section at the very bottom...
|
Wow I could have sworn I had the newest graal level editor. The one where you can use the guy to run around your levels, at the same time you edit. But I dun see not see the tile thing in the predefined npc section. I guess i,ll go redownload.
|
Yah, that's version 2.12. New version came out yesterday.
-Got rid of the scroll guy, brought back scroll bars. -Uses plain grass as default tile for new levels. -Fixed the level clearing bug -Path controls Think that's about all the major fixes. |
I LOVED THE SCROLL GUY :'(
IT ALLOWED ME TO PERFECTLY CONNECT MY LEVELS :(:(:( |
Yeah I kinda got used to scroll-guy too :(
Now I will mourn for him... |

I hated the scroll guy , but that's probably beacuse I never learned how to use him..
Thought could anyone explain how this new addition works? |
Oh I forgot to add to the feature list
that you can now double-click on a sign to open the signs window or double-click on a link to open the linked level |
For easy editor scripts try this
if (mousedown) { tiles[mousex, mousey] = 0; updateboard mousex,mousey,1,1; } Save this as editnpcMyEditorNPC.txt in the levels/npcs path, then open the editor, select it and click somewhere |
Stefan, I still can't play Graal. The setup doesn't work for me!
|
Um the setup should work on all windows now,
what error do you get? |

Simple Random Grass Object laying thing.
How is it? Maybe the dirt on grass tiles shouldn't be in it... |
Slightly Confused:
If you wanted to take the rocks out and have only sandtiles placed, how do you find out which hex (or whatever that stuff is) to take out? *Edit* Take out the last 2 hexs and it'll do without rocks */Edit* Gohan |
