Overworld ScreenShot

Here is a screenshot of the overworld:

The overworld has mini-tiles, and will have mini-everything on it.
Including monsters and players ;)

Oladahn is the creator of these tiles.

Desert Screenshot

Since each of the 9 kingdoms gets its own individual tileset, we started off (I guess) with the desert one--

Here is a desert screenshot.
I really would like your opinion on this, because Thak, the creator of these tiles, needs to know what you think.

Looks really good, I like those mini-tiles a lot, I hope the next screen shots include the mini players, BTW: P2P or Free?

VyralP2P 01-20-2002 03:38 PM

SWEET!
now make turnbased fighting and you got graal fantasy :D

Ultima_P2P 01-20-2002 03:45 PM

That first screenshot reminds me of warcraft :)

9 kingdoms!?! I hate to break it to you, but if they are anything like 2k1 kingdoms, you're gonna have like 4 people per kingdom...

I think 2 general kingdoms would be enough.. not 9 unique ones that have their own castle/area and all that..

they arent like they are on 2k1, not exactly.

kingdoms have their own heritage, own underworld (battle grounds where you quest) and each one has a big part in making your player stronger.

p2p of course.

Very cool. But the mountains sorta look like and FF3/RPG Maker combination. Not that I care or anything, just saying. Looks good.

SabreKnot 01-21-2002 04:15 AM

9 kingdoms is too many considering you will probably have 20-30 people max if it even gets up. 3-4 kingdoms would be better, and make them original, dont be like "oh we need a water kingdom and a kingdom in the mountains and a kingdom in the forest" etc.

My PlayerWorld has 2 general kingdoms... ;)

Warcaptain 01-21-2002 06:29 AM

just saying as an example...

2 people could run and be the only people in a kingdom on pandora, since the soldiers (npcs) can guard and fight etc by themselves, which is all you really are supposed to do in a kingdom.

Funkee 01-21-2002 09:05 AM

Pandora sounds cool :)

but I do think 9 kingdoms is a bit too much!

they kingdoms dont always have to be huge with players, they are mostly there for quests, batteling, and adventuring.

and theres some other aspects that I dont think I should say quite yet, that makes it more understandable..

Androk2k1 01-23-2002 06:39 AM

9?! I am gonna have 10 by the end of scenario... Though right now I onlyknow about 5.... lol.. I'll post that somehwre else l8er when I actually know what scenario is gonna be... (Belive me with all the classes I spent writing and thinking about it, it'z gonna be superb and is going to have you going for quiet long!)

heh thanks ;)

we're doin pretty good so far, though we've noticed alot of our info has been leaked, as some new pw's have based their pw on one of 2 of our ideas.

so we've had to think up some new ones to make up for the leaked ones. (we're still using the ones that were leaked, regardless)

just don't tell me to fail their playerworlds because of leaked info.

heh we have more ideas to worry about then some that were ripped from other rpg's to begin with.

Regarding Kingdom:
We decided to limit the kingdoms to 3-4 now.
Less work on tilesets, otherwise we had to make 10 tilesets, now we only need to make 4-5 (1 extra for my special little island ;) )

BTW we really need gfx people, at least 3-4 more so we can have 2 or so workign on each tileset.

email me or aim me: WarcaptainEnigma or email: [email protected] [had to get a hotmail one cuz reguar one shut down :( ]

Valder 01-28-2002 04:21 AM

Make it turn based :( and make it so you can get NPC's to join your team :)

Xythar 01-28-2002 04:42 AM

Change the "lake" tiles you're using right now. It looks too out of place to have the traditional tiles mixed with the new.

Also, the desert grass could use a tiny bit of touching up.

thomasward 01-28-2002 05:26 AM

Post some more screen shots of the different kingdoms with the different tilesets...

new water tiles, i think they look jacked, i'll revamp them if you guys agree.

also, no other kingdom tiles are done yet (thats why we need gfx people, i can't do all this myself) so i have none to show yet, though i'm working on desert tiles and some new tiles dealing with water and cliffs. plus new house designs for desert and just normal houses.

no, show me the tiles from rpg maker and compare them to the ones from pandora, if they match exactly (which they dont) then ill talk to oladahn, but just because somethign is new to graal, people automaticly find some way to say its ripped

be mature.

Oladahn 01-28-2002 05:52 AM

Damn, you sure are a fool. How can they be stolen when they're made from hand. Once again, another person makes an ass of themself by making false acusations.
