Could Someone

Could someone tell me how to make a whole level darker inside?
and
A brief tutorial on lighting effects?? I pick them but I can never get them to change

what do u mean darker? U can use backpals like setbackpal dusk2.png.

Don't use lighting effects, use backpals. They kind of "tint" a whole level a darker or lighter shade. It's what most servers use for their day and night effects.
