how do you script a chat box and a person?

1. if u do something with delphi it's coding not scripting ;)
2. use the indy-tcp-ip components, the server-client socket (prof edition?) or a thing called nmsg (it's for text only) so u put it in your formluar enter port and ip (or just doing some edit-fields where u can enter it while running the program) get your server socket to listen and write everything it gets into a memo-field

add.memo1.lines or something like this...

this is for server

for client u search for the sending-function

(sendtext for nmsg I think havent't done anything in Delphi for a very long time)

or just watch help-file ^_^

Well Stefan used this forum for Delphi scripting so I thought it belonged here

He's talking about Delphi, not about Graal Script.

For a few things...
1) Not as fast, or dependable as C++
2) Not many learning sources, not nearly as many as C++
3) I just don't like it
4) C++ is far better then Delphi

And to the ***** who said "then why do you play a game programmed in delphi"...that was just plain idiotic. Any programming language can be made to good use through skillful manipulation, som easier then others, some better then others. You can make anything with any language...Delphi just isn't the best language in my opinion.

So if Stefan used it skillfully, fine. If he likes Dephi, fine. I simply think C++, and in some cases even VB, is better then Delphi.
