Thread closing rules...

I'm not sure if this has been addressed yet, excuse me if it has.

What do you have to do in a thread to get it closed? I don't understand why those ruby rose related threads have been closed? I didn't read through it all, but I thought just simple arguing with no sexist/racist/profane comments would not get it closed...

Well,
what do threads have to contain (guidlines) to get closed?

Otherwise, I'd be closing thread on my own judgement, which might not be the judgement of others.

I edited that.
the 'why' is now 'what'.

Well, the basic guidelines I've followed were:

- No threads claiming so and so is corrupt. (I probably didn't close several of these threads, as Stefan instructed then as a no no only a few months ago.

- No hate threads.

- No meaningless spam threads.

Would this include threads nice and well-said, not the slightest bit harsh, posted to try and get someone to have the slightest bit of consideration for other users of the forums? Without the harsh arguing and hate-like comments from other people, whose posts you could just delete, or edit?

Editing through 4 pages of whines and flames is terribly unfun.

Use the forty post option in profile.

It's only one, then, and easier to read.

O grate, 2 cool threads have been closed:(
