What the heck happened to G2k1?

I can remember the first day I logged on, one day after the official opening, I was so excited! I log on and there are some of my friends there! I said hi, and we all looked around, and all the toalls where friendly. The PM's rung with people asking for girlfriends/boyfriends and you could wander around without any fear of beign killed at all!

Cut to 2 months later. PKers are everywhere, the only toalls are threatening, and no PM's ever pop up anymore. There's lots of people begging for money, corruption everywhere, and no one willing to help.

What happened? Let me tell you. While some of it was mostly due to people coming and continuing to argue (Game, Lycia, DMX, I'm looking in your general vicinity) the other part was people like Twiztid Jugglo/Welly/Damien etc., who just infested G2k1 with more swearing and curses than a B-Rated action movie.

Did the nice people who where there at the beginning of G2k1 REALLY deserve this? It was such a nice server... but as general rule of thumb, all servers eventually go down the trash chute anyways. Val sunk, so did N-Pulse. What's the big difference between those servers and G2k1?

The other servers's downfall was due to boredom. G2k1's was due to humans. Humans who made it a hostile enviroment just to play in. It makes me both angry and sad. Angry that such a thing could happen to such a nice server. Sad that what happened, happened.

Either Vermy forgot to add me or i missed out on being blamed again or am i not that bad? *shrug* anyways yes vermy things are in hell right now but i'm sure things will work out for the better.

Asuka, I am still annoyed at you for the "fat" lycia jokes. Although you still have my respect, as you were as not as severe as Game.

I remember.... TrueHeaT told me that G2k1 came out, so I got my mom's credit card and paid.

There wasn't really that many people on, but the ones that were on were really nice, and when the forums opened, I was one of the first to register.

The Game does seem to get into alot of fights in these forums duno about ingame

i wasnt really at the start of the graal2k1 server so i dont really know what it was like at the start must of been bliss

Yea, when I was a newb there were very few people that tried to PK me. And when I asked for help, some helped, and I participated in toalls. But now I've turned off my toalls because most are not worth reading. I even turn off mass message on on playerlist sometimes cuz of the annoying PMs. I also remmber, when I started, the admins wer're alot friendlier and would respond quickly to PMs and particiapte in toalls often.

And what about the players that don't like to role play?

They can PK, swear and idle amongst themselves.
Graal's an adventure game, there pretty much has to be an element of in-character playing.

As a matter of fact, I am not my usuall self today, I do my best not to swear, and today I just have not been thinking about that.

This is just my display of what I have felt over the past few months. A sadly true tale with no happy ending.

And yes, the truth hurts me a lot. The truth is that I just wasted 16 bucks to listen to people swear and curse when I could have spent it on chips and soda and had more enjoyable nights.

Like I said before, no problem with arguing, but you have to admit game, most arguments you get into turn into flame wars.

When Graal 2001 first came out, I would do anything to get an account. I did. At first it was extremely fun, but now with all the troublemakers coming around it has just became less fun to me. So I came here and became a bad guy. I don't want to be a bad guy anymore, so get rid of all the other bad people. Thanks.

I hope RPing works out but it's going to take some time. There are so many people that are negative RPing and want us to stop, I don't see why RPers and people who just want to chat can't play on the same server. But another problem is tags..I get about 10 messages a minute asking "CEN I HEV ZEURMIT TAG?!?", I really wish people would read up on these things before demanding a tag though because I end up with people who can't RP at all and who constantly ask for promotions. I wish I could add tags easily but people will have to learn patience for now.

I have to agree with just about everything here, but you cannot blame it on game and lycia etc its not just them its everyone i bet you everyone one of us at a certian point in time got angry about one thing or another be it gralts or just plane stupidty.

I love RPing, and I would love to be a Zormite.
