Somebody needs to set the record straight....

A lot of speed patch users are hiding behind the excuse that they are using a joystick/videocard/something that's not the speed patch (I've even heard one guy say that he's going faster because he's using Auto-D), the worst part is that the police actually buy this. This is probably false for 2 reasons.

1) I doubt that there is a joystick/videocard that can make you go faster on graal.

2) After the speed patch was released onto a website, the number of people that seemed to be using this joysticks/videocards seemed to jump dramaticly.

Stefan or Alkaren has to set the police straight and tell them that people who tell the police this are lying.

err k, thanks captain obvious

I've told people many times, including some officers when asked:
There is no excuse for going faster than a normal person will go. If I see you going faster than a normal person can go or another officer does, you will be sent to no-pm jail and your account will be banned.

CowgirlBebop 01-08-2002 04:47 AM

but then again people do get speed hacks by hackign source code or w/e its called

Torankusu 01-08-2002 04:50 AM

the shield and game should control speed.

Admins 01-08-2002 04:51 AM

Yes people should get banned when they are too fast.
Sometimes someone can look very fast for a very
short time if he was lagged and the positions are then
sent in a very short time, but normally you cannot get
faster than the standard speed. Graal also checks
for several kinds of speed hack.
I could disable the old Graal versions (<v2.12) to prevent
it.

CowgirlBebop 01-08-2002 04:51 AM

yeah but like i said, some people hack right into the code and edit it... so you cant really stop that

Torankusu 01-08-2002 04:58 AM

zoomie666 was using it the other day.

spi 01-08-2002 04:59 AM

I've seen many people speed hack

AlkarenHyralt 01-08-2002 05:01 AM

It's getting harder and harder to catch speed hackers. Mainly because once they have been reported they will just idle. SO I can get no proof they were speed hacking :(

This graal version displays your FPS above your latency...it does make you run faster quite a bit. The speed hack util supposedly overclocks your CPU or something like that...Stefan, I would highly urge you to disable the older versions...it's people's responsibility to keep their current software updated.

Slaktmaster 01-08-2002 05:06 AM

Warp to them.

CowgirlBebop 01-08-2002 05:39 AM

i still dont understand this "strange graal version" isit a hacked graal or like a graal made by somone else?
