Recently I have seen so many new faces here at the GCC, I think now is a good time for a thread like this.

Everyone, post how you found Graal, and anything else you want everyone to know about yourself.

But please, let us NOT make this into some "version wars" thread. "I found Graal in version .000001 !!!!! You are all newbs!" None of this malarkey, okay? Besides, I think the "how" is more important than the "when".

Okay. I found Graal on www.mpogd.com about six months before Graal 2001 was released (or thereabouts), one of my favorite MUDs had just shut down, and I was looking for something new. When I saw the screenshot there and how it looked very Zeldaish, I knew I would like it. So, been playing ever since (off and on :p)

About myself: Well, generally I try to be a good person. If you ever need anything, and you ask me, I will always try my best to help. I don't make enemies easily, i'm pretty flexible, but when one comes along I show little compassion to them (not by choice, just my nature, but I try to do otherwise) Just don't cross me, because my bite is swift.

I really like The Beatles, I listen to them all the time. I do play Final Fantasy and openly admit to doing so despite the mass negative criticism of the series on this forum ;)

Threads on this forum I dislike most of all... console war threads!
Threads I like most of all... threads about J.R.R. Tolkien or any of his work (like Lord of the Rings) ;)

Umm that is about all I can think of for the moment. Anyway, I'm bored so humor me and post a reply please. ^_^ At the very least we can burn time until G2K2

Ok. I found Graal about 1999 Summer when I was working in C++ and looking for app tutorial....I went to a site showing links and it showed Graal undr it. I saw the first one. God I hate Mutli-player games that look like you popped out of Medieval tiems so I went to GraalOnline.com.

About Myself:I like to help ppl but I have a pet peeve against Newb alike:Helplessness. If you could pull off one thing by yourself I'd be your best friend.

I was on the Armageddon Games forums before their release of the Zelda 1 editor. Someone linked to graal, and the rest is history.

One of my friends said. "YO, you wanna play Zelda online? I found this game called Graal on the internet" So I played on a personal server where the owner (one of my friends) went crazy and killed us and editited our accounts and then jailed us for it. Then he shut down the server, I tried to play on the main server but my computer was too slow. Then I got a new computer a while later and I checked the Graal website and it was talking about Graal 2001.

I saw some kids at my school playing it (NPulse hehe), saw the name 'graal' in the title bar of the program then searched for it. I found it, then well, you know the rest.

well, about me... I'm insane. bloody insane. and I argue. :D

I found graal LONG ago can't remember how I think I was just searching for some games and I ran across it. But at first I didn't like it so I left then came back then left and well now is now.

I was searching for java and flash games when I came about Java Graal. There was a link that said "Play the Real Graal Here"

Thats how I found it in a nutshell.

I was looking for rpg maker 95, which i feel is still better then 2k but whataver they both have the advantages, found a link to here and went on classic and lauched for about 5 minutes when I saw burger refuge, funny stuff then I started playing Bravo for a little. then n-pulse...then graal2001

I was just looking under online games on some search engines and graal showed up (I started version 1.3)
Right around the time P2P came out I quit because graal was getting really boring, I can back around 4 mouths ago and started to learn how to script and that's all I do now, script and build levels offline =/, all I do online now is move every 5 minuets so I dont get disconencted and chat with my friends in Pirate Crew

Zane introduced me to Graal in late 1999, if my memory serves me correct. I had played it before that, but not really liked it until he reintroduced me to it.

i was reading my gamepro mag and i came across this one page. it read at the top, "top 10 online games" and graal was at the very top and so was their url! now i'm here

i like to take photos with my digital cam and olympus camera. i develop them and sometimes edit them in photoshop and psp and make them into wallpapers. i want to be a photographer for playboy when i get older. my real name is chuck and i'm 17, i also enjoy making girls laugh and chillin' with my homies. oh and websites, i like making those and experimenting with html and game development

I found Graal along time ago. I used to go to a programming(when i was into programming alot) chat room...and an old friend showed me it, I believe it was Cim Shimy? Anyways hes an ******* now but oh well.

My favorite type of music is Rap. Its mainly all i listen to.

Me and LiquidIce was bored , he looked up RPG games , Zelda Online came up , he liked it, sent me link , played for a while ,started to play bravo , learned to make levels , started UnholyNation , uploaded some levels to bravo that would be on UN , everyone liked it , Subscribed to Graal2001 in may I guess, UN went up . you know the rest ..... I like Punk Runk , Alternative , Greenday is my favorite , Im a nice person (sometimes) , most people like me but some don't , and umm thats all

I visited my bro a couple of years ago, I saw him playing graal, tried it..had fun and played it ever since on and off.

I found Graal of April last year. I was in Yahoo chat one day, (bleh) and my friend had told me his site would be sponsored by some Zelda site. So he posted the link, and I went there. They had some thing about Graal - A multiplayer Zelda style game. Curiousity had played it's mark, and I downloaded Graal. From there, I went to the server lists. I wanted to play Graal 2001, but couldn't; So...I went to Mithica. (The name, and the description lured me.) And since then I'm still here.

I don't remember where I found Graal! x.x I was probably searching for Java games... I know I saw cyberjoueur.com before I did graalonline.com... But that's all I remember. :(

Ummm I think one of my earliest accounts that I can remember is TylerAKANeonLink... I'm pretty much in the same boat as Lance... x.x I took like a 1 year break and totally forgot about it till I saw it bookmarked. :D

Every once in a while I'll play the java version on cyberjoueur.com and everyone at school is like "Tyler what is that site?" God damnit you ***** look at the address bar! Anyway...

Um... I like rock-ish music... Maybe you'd classify it as both heavy or soft... I like Godsmack, Linkin Park, and Korn... Not too much of a variety. :p

I found graal in the Gaming Chat on AIM when i was role playing and those scrollers who come in scrolling links so i clicked it got graal XD. I don't RP on AIM now, but at least i got to play some good servers which are no longer here (COME BACK VALIKORLIA!)

I found Graal on a site for a Playerworld ran with the Gserver about 3 years ago. But I do remember playing before that. I can't remember the exact version, but I remember it still had quite a few Zelda tiles, and had no "Q" Menu.

Chau Sara; A starcraft site is where i found it at. I think around early February '99.

omfg i learned bout graal in teh dummest way i was in teh dbz chatroom and a little freak named chaozu told me about it then i ditched him lol, i pked the little freak on teh graal, my hobbys are to play teh graal bye byes rufflez

1st Encounter: Found it on Snes9x.com when it was still called Zelda Online.

2nd Encounter: Found a link to it in a news post on Zophar.net

My friend played it non-stop one summer. I wen't to his house one day, saw him playing it. And thought it was cool. That was around v1.27. I then tried to download it at my house, but my computer was stupid, or i was, either or. So i tried for a while, and gave up. Then got a new PC around v1.3 and have played ever since.

Hmm..well...Someone introduced the GSCCC irc channel to it. I think it might have been InfraRed or maybe even jdp...anyways, it soon become the thing GSCCCers played. It was like this for two months or so, but then Redmoon came along. And only a few of us continued to play Graal. I stopped playing it some before others. This was maybe back in Oct. or Nov of 2000. Anyways, I eventually "left" (well tried to leave GSCCC) in March, and decided I would try to play Graal a little bit more until I found something else to occupy my time. So in april I begun to play Graal again..and the rest is history.

MY friend Nash turned me to this game in 1999 or so. round 1.3 and I started scripting about... 1.37

I ran a search for zelda online and found www.cyberjourer.com... where u downloaded it back then before it moved to www.graalonline.com

well when i started playing graal I left for liek a month then came back

nah, but seriously. i was play legend of zelda for snes and i got stuck at this one part. i was looking for some walkthroughs or something and ran a search. well, graal was on one of the sites as 'zelda online' so i clicked it, being the big zelda fan that i am. the rest is history (i wonder how many people have said that)

i found graal via gamefaqs.com while searching their list of pc web only online games. ich bin gott, etc.
