Ghosts on free server
 

They added it now. The limit on N-Pulse is around 60. Far too low.

Don't be too surprised if I disappear from Graal soon. :(

There is now a limited number of people on "un-pay to play" servers.

Stefan is pushing his luck. He's going to go too far with this Pay 2 play thing.. People are going to start quitting graal. People arn't going to spend 24 bucks to be avil to play a server more than twice. Stefan's going to regret this.. ;-)

I have two pay to play accounts. One has 58 days left.. and My other one has like.. a whole year. I just made it.. But, Stefan needs to know when to stop.. Like, i've heard talk about no more free servers.. I don't know if that's true or not.. But if it is, that's incredibly stupid.

Limit on Mithica is like 50, and everytime ya log on your a ghost for like 20 seconds then ya aren't. But when ya do, your clothes and body are diffrent, and you can't see your weapons or stats...

Ghost Mode sux, the only thing they get with that is: that some players wants to quit graal, tell me for what is that ghost mode good?

mabey stefan thinks it will help with lag...but then what if all the n00b's get on and the oldbie's have to wait, something is going to happen there (Quit):o

Stefan the ghost thing is far too bugged..

1.RC's become ghosts
2.It doesnt load your attributes correctly (including clothing..)
3.It doesnt display your statbar when you connect

Stefan can't host Graal for free. Ghost mode is to provoke players to upgrade. Heck, you should be thankful that he even HAS free servers.

if he wants people to upgrade, how the hell are they going to belive g2k is better then a non-p2p server when they can't even play it right:eek:

I think Stefan should disable certain NPC commands in Ghost Mode instead of disabling ALL NPC commands. You can't walk into doors... =/ Like maybe disable addweapon and toweapons.

well, ghost mode is a lil buggy now, mabey it will get better, ya ever know :p

well if stefans going to do this then he better enable more commands for non-p2p servers or else many ppl will be very pissed, and alrready are. at the very least, enable light effects and changeimgzoom.

i couldnt really care less about ghost mode on non-p2p servers
i only play Graal2001, classic sometimes

i think in ghost mode you should be able to go over everything except when you come to an npc then the npc performs its actions or a warp (etc)
ghosts can float over stuff even go through walls
graal ghosts are normal people that cant do anything
and the ghost head should be a white newbie not the regular one.

ghost mode is good as it is
the non-p2p accounts get to see the server
we dont want them playing the server for free when we payed for it

the thing that annoys me is that i have a p2p account, but i have a second account that i use for free servers, and all my kills and stats are on my free account which i can no longer use at peak times because of ghost mode, so even those of us that have p2p are losing out because some of us have a seperate free server acccount too! and im gonna be so pissed of if i have to get my 4000 kills on u.n again.

You're ignorant just like the rest. Would you rather have Graal or no Graal? He has to do this, otherwise server bills and maintenance and other costs will go above what he and unixmad are MAKING from Graal. Which means that Graal will go out of business.

Considering I have six free accounts and 3 pay to play, I can easily see it.

But it really doesn't matter, because it all comes down to one thing:

Graal, or no Graal?

i dont think that there should even be ghost mode all it does is piss ppl off

If those people like graal so much that they get angry, then they should like graal enough to upgrade an account.

I dont mind much but I dont think the limit should be like 60 when the server usually has twice as much ppl.. Thats dumb cuz some ppl r just gonna get tired of waiting to play and stuff..
If its like 100 and usually are 120 on the server then ok..
or maybe it could find a limit based on the bandwith being taken up by that one server?
and the worse thing about the ghost mode is that its so buggy ;\

i think that server owners should be able to put the limit on their servers (should be their avg. ammount of people. example: G2k1 would be about 90)

The ghost mode is needed. Many people just play
classic or other free servers without ever thinking
about upgrading their account. But that is not the
way it can work, we are not a charitable society.
If players think Graal is just a graphical chat client
then they should use some real chat client. For
running Graal and developing new versions like
Graal2002 we need money.

I have temporary disabled it because there
are some little bugs (didn't happen when we have
tested it some weeks ago on invis servers).
We will fix it today or tomorrow and then set the
limit again (which was 500 free players).
Don't know if it's possible to fix the invisible stats
thing, may be server owner should add some script
to show the stats when the player logins.
