The Day Bravo Went p2p
 

Does anyone know the date when Bravo went p2p am sure it was in may but what am not sure of is the date would anyone be able to help me

It was shortly before I upgraded my account so I guess May would be right

I remember logging on to Graal and seeing that little coin icon next to Bravo Online...:(

But, Bravo was different. Playing on Bravo then, and playing on UN now are two totally different feelings. I miss Bravo :(

i sorta miss Bravo too ... but I have a plan to incorporate old Bravo levels into Andor in a huge forest i am making ...

:( Don't even compare that place to Bravo.. yuck, it's not the same at all, considering half the people that did play on Bravo quit.

And what levels are you putting on Andor? o.O;

Unholy Nation = fix up level and that server will rox your pant(ie)s off.

I don't think you are allowed to use Old Bravo levels on Andor.

I talked to coon a couple of days ago and he said he was working on a bravo classic server, but I doubt it will pass :(

Well cant belive they gave up on Old Bravo but anyways then can sue lvls on Andor same owner!

You guys all have good points. But the world evolves and changes infront of our eyes. Bravo is gone, and will be gone. I dont think it will ever come back. But that is just my point of view.

I think that Andor will last long, its a great server. I put alot of time into that overworld, it dont look like it, but I did. And last time I was on Andor, the staff did alot of great work. I am the owner, but my computer is screwd up right now, and im at our local library. ^_^

and I started making UN i think was like before 1.41 .. so some lvls are old and we are going to plan a server upgrade. We have a lot already better lvls . Like some forest areas and the main cities and some other stuff. But some still needs work i know.

Well, I am not against UN, but either way, if you fix it up, its just going to be as crappy. Its really laggy due to , to many players on it. You cant fix that really, other then going P2P, but you wont do that. ^_^

You cant put up old bravo levels on Andor. I tred to get coon to lt me when I was GMand he wouldnt let me and h doesnt like Brandon to much so you asking him about it wont work. And it would be *** to put them back up anyways.

UN is like 1000 times better then Andor ow can you say it is crappy ?

Im the owner of Andor, Brandon owns the Server its self.
But from what I know of, we arnt gonna use any old bravo levels. Ever.. I am away for now, my monitor is busted, and im at our Library. So, not much that I can do. But I would hope that Brandon would "not" do that ^_^ I told him not to do anything that I wouldnt do while im gone

Andor Ownz UN. No Offence Liquid.. I have nothing against you personaly.. but UN, its way to laggy. Server Quality.. is very low I would say. He has a good community.. but a bit to large causing to much lag. Could be the scripts aswell, Liquid is talented I must say, hes a great scripter, and he knows his stuff.

But UN does not own at all I would say.

The server lag is not our fault,
I spoke to Stefan about that ,
its the computers that are running too much stuff and low on resources. So it causes lag. Unixmad was supposed to put a new one up or something.

I like Andor the levels are nice quality. Just needs to fill it up with more interactivity (like more places to visit)

I know this sound lame, but I havnt been on there in a long time. Not my fault, my monitor Crashed, and my mother is holding back on getting a new one.

So im at our local Library, and im restricted to alot of things, no chat, no games.. etc

i'm Lat Captain on Andor......i have to admit its kinda boring, but thats because we dont have much stuff up yet....i think it should of stayed bravo until everything was finished....

When i started babylon, it was to make a new bravo so i could play it. I worked and worked to make it from memory but then i realized it would be cool to make my own so i have added and added. :D

Well yes, but it was still there...

Andor has okay levels, but nothing at all to keep the players interested. I have seen them take scripts off of G2k1 and use them. Nothing fun at all. Just mining I think.
UN is okay. LiquidIce is a great scripter, and his server has a lot of stuff to keep players amused. That is probably why the population is so high, and he can't help the lag, and going P2P would ruin the server, like it ruined Bravo completely.
The thing UN really needs most are some good levels.
And at least LiquidIce worked to get his server up! He worked hard. Andor just took a great server and renamed it.

Btw, I found out the day Bravo went P2P.

Sorry guys, it was ultimately for the best, it would have most likely happened sooner or later anyway. Anyhow, we are doing some great things with Andor, berry picking is up now, some playerhouses are up although some of them are from Graal2001 :grrr:, will have them removed and replaced soon though. Come check us out!

Out of all the Bravoians, you cant say that I never cared about it. Remember when me and WildDude tried to take over. We had everyone on our side, against Brandon and Kayden. Ahh.. the good old days. Takes me back ^_^

I think you're Sym, so assuming you are I never meant to imply anything like you didn't care. I know you did! And I know Brandon does, and WildDude...but I also know kaiden didn't.
Im simply saying I doubt Andor can ever measure up to what Bravo was, in the players eyes, especially considering it is P2P.

Sadly but true. But I mean, personaly I like P2P. Here my reasons..

1. Less players (Not as laggy)
2. WAY better scripting (More Options)
3. You can use Ganis to there fullest Extent

now, that is only 3, but i mean, #2... that says it all. You can do pretty much anything with the NPC server, your limitations are unlimited really. Thats why its so great.

My opinion on Bravo, you dont know how pissed off I was when I herd that it went P2P. When Brandon took over, I was mad enough, and I still played now and then. But then it went P2P, and I went on it and I was disgusted.

But I have learned that its just a game, nothing to get worked up about. I used to take graal so seriously.. someone would try and PK Pete(WildDude) and I would flip and my monitor would be coverd in spit cuz i would be sparring and pking so hard and yelling at the screen. It was fun though, I must say.

Now, i dont even play graal. Im only here for Development, it makes me feel good when I create a world, and ppl play on it, and complement me on how good I did, or what I can fix. It really takes up my time, when I should be out doing other things. But I come to realize that im simply a nerd. ^_^
