ghosting.
 
It would be neat if admins could ghost on the pw they have rights on so they can spy and look for people doing bad stuff

I want it to be a scripting command! Just imagine, a spar room where there are 2 fighters and any number of ghosts; the sparrers can't see or be affected by them, but they can see the fight!

Yeah that would be good, but some sort of icon comes up next to the AP Bar when a Ghost is in the level, so it wouldn't be totally secret that someone was there.

and stefan should take advantage of this in the ghost ganis. making them semi-transparent

NPC Code:

- COLOREFFECT 20 1 1 0 0.99
-> sprite_index red green blue alpha
sets the alpha transparency / colors for the sprite



it sucks to have them be just....white, and the fung si yan head should also be semi-transparent white too...

If the ghost bod is a param its not static. heads arent static unless placed there manualy instead of params. sure you could make the ghost gani all static but then it woudlnt be cool for my idea which was This

Wonderful! I always hate it when I'm trying to spar (on those all-to-rare occasions) and there are so many people watching that I begin to lag beyond the ability to fight. This has some serious potential.

In my opinion, Ghost mode should not be used for free playerworlds. Especially in the interest of staff members who work on those types of playerworlds, and do not own a p2p account. That would mean people who have no interest whatsoever in updating their account would have to, just so they could avoid the chance of being ghosted. It is a smart buisness move, I'll admit that. However, in the long run, if ghost mode is applied to free playerworlds it will be an annoyance to those people who can't or don't want to buy a p2p account.

I didn't think ghosting was used on free playerworlds... hmm... Was not the whole point to allow players with no P2P accounts to investigate what they're missing?

Stefan is planning a limit on free players on free servers...hopefully Classic will be excepted from this, because that's where all the noobs (read: potential customers) are.

Most playerworlds, even the free ones, would have trouble breaking those limits anyway. It's rare that servers besides Classic get TOO packed.

I dont think he knows of one yet..
if its 150 UN would be breaking it ..
the good thing about it is that people might go from servers to others because of the limit, which means servers that have few people will have more, and bigger servers will have less. More of a even ammount.

I hope so. Even though certain servers have less people, they have a stronger sense of community, so they are equal in the regard as well.

That would bring about MASSIVE problems.

People could easily ghost to someplace that they're not supposed to go to, activate that account, and ta da.

Hmm... I guess I'd just assumed that if the account was activated, it would return to onlinestartlocal and begin from there.

ghost accounts are treated as guest/guest was on 1.28. The locales of the account are not saved
