new notices?

I've been getting this one today on RC alot

[account] added a non-existing weapon (hacker?)

does this one tell us of the people who add npc's through the level editor bug or something?
*UPDATE*
I told a friend to do that hack (where you put npcs thru the level editor) and he said he kept getting d/c =)

STEFAN I LUB U!
<3!!!!:D

Yes, but sometimes people can have certain flags that do that.

LiquidIce00 11-08-2001 03:21 AM

bah. UN ftp down .. ne other ftp's down (playerworlds.graalonline.com) server

and its sweet against hackers thanx ^^

edit: nm i just read that other thread

You have to be careful though. Copy a person's flags that do that and paste them somewhere, along with the level. Do that with everyone and look for a common flag, then test it. On Classic, if someone is in pagospar2.graal or have the flag fish=number, they sometimes get that.

HI LIQUID!
Is me, pixie =P

Anyways, I think i know why this happens, but i've only seen it on a playerworld with an NPC server. It happens when a database NPC does a toweapons command to put the NPC in a player's weapons list. Then, when it does the toweapons, it somes up with HACKER in the RC,and disconnects the player =P

Yes, but on a free server it means they abused a bug, or a certain flag messes it up.

Tyhm 11-08-2001 05:16 AM

Nah, Pagosparshark had a toweapons without an image.
And for the Fighting Fishes, loading weapons in different levels breaks it.

ZanderX 11-08-2001 05:22 AM

Most of the time it's nothing to worry about. There are instances where it reports a player for adding a weapon when in reality the player has modified their stats illegally, or sometimes they actually added a weapon. I banned the account Fireball_Dolphonia for that reason, and Shadow Knight banned the account "Chunkee" for the same reason.

LiquidIce00 11-08-2001 08:06 AM

Okay i haven't tried this yet but i am 90percent sure this is why some levels people get the "Illegal data" thing and it thinks they are hacking . Stefan said it somewhere else or something.
and so far I have found this to be true.
Npcs that have
if (playerenters) { toweapons mynpc; }
will look like the person is hacking to the gserver.
you need to do
if (playerenters&&!isweapon) { towepons mynpc; }

=)
the flags and stuff have nothing to do with it

No.. added non-existing weapon is always right (unless your npc has what i said above). changed script of npc sometimes is wrong.

Stefan came on Npulse this morning and spent almost a hour fixing this problem on Npulse. That on RC [account] added a non-existing weapon (hacker?)
and D/C players , it is fixed now whatever he did.

maybe he was testing it on npulse. the new thing. but scripts should not be if (playerenters) {toweapons.. } and also all of them should contain a image

True but without FTP access no one can change anything. :(
