Hiya Fellow Bomies (and Staff Members), this is just a thread to discuss the lack of bomy stuff and some bomy idea's, (I just think we need a few things to get some more bomy members again) My Idea's are: As a replacement for Human Hats how about Bomy Shell Designs, you could choose one and your bomy jumps into a new shell, or they could be like tattoos for bomy shells. (I agree that some bomy designs wont work with the shells but some human heads dont work with hats!!!) Some bomy Weapons, perhaps perhaps a Bomy Stomp (the bomy jumps and goes into it's shell then slams into the ground making an explosion, and you can get higer power shells that act like human shields the higher level shell reflet arrows and half damage and increse the blast radius!!!) or even bomy charge that replaces arrows (you fire yourself at swimming speed in the direction your facing in you shell and that does as much damage as an arrow but unfortunatly you take as long to get back on your feet as you do when swimming), there are amny other ideas, lets just share idea's and maybe a few will be used and bomys will become popular again!!!

Fanx for that but that thread seems to have have turned into a bit of an argument about bomy rights and stuff I just want to calmly talk about ideas!!!

I want to see bomy's mining, I'm a human player but I want to see it anyway.

The Bomy Arrow is nice, but to make it more fair, as it takes the bomys long to get up, and they could be hurt when they try that, as it isn't a true projectile, like the bow is for humans, the Bomy Arrow should do double the regular arrow. That means 2 hearts.

A super bomy arrow is a bad idea, a powered up Bomy kick would be good though.

WHY.

Bomys and humans both have jobs that are almost EQUAL in profit and work time. Bird Catching is the same if not easier then mining.

Doesn't the regular arrow do only half damage? Fireball takes out 1 full heart. So that means...bomy arrow would only be doing damage worth 1 heart.:confused:

What are you on! :eek: Bid Catching is the Single WORST job on Graal you have to get pounds and the Birds give grams. Let not forget birds are invisable! :(

Yeah I like your idea it could hurt them by 1 heart and you by half hat and if it's powered up it does two hearts damage and one to you!!! Another idea for bomys could be Crystal Mining, as all we seem to do is get natural resources from the water and air, we use bomy spin on any area and tap the d button really fast and if you tap it fast enough you make a small hole in the ground, (only you can see it and go through) you drop through this hole and land in a small square cave with cracks on each wall you use the bomy charge at the cracks you can find gralats in the cracks when broken (gralats have to come from somewhere!) but these aren't ready to be spent you have to take em to a jewelers or a bank or something and they divide it up and take a little for themselves and give you the rest! The crystal areas could be floor tiles and you have to bomy spin on them to dig it up, you could find small amounts, (worth 5g, you get 2g) average amounts, (worth 10g, you get 4g), big amounts (worth 20g you get 8g) and huge amounts (worth 50g you get 20g), with all this new found money you can buy a home gralt kit for 500g which lets you divide it up for yourself!!! what do you think of that?

i think the bomys should be able to buy "shells/egg forming stuff" that will alow them to "transform" and grow wings which will let them choose if they want to go up rivers at a casual pace and not the chaos that bomys have from swimming. You should be able to move faster while flying but not have the ablity to use weapons or items. And you could have the bomys make or buy different shells/egg forming stuff that would yeild wings that would have differnt colors,speeds, and slowing abilities.

With the best net, it takes 10 mins for 10 gralats, witch is better than mining... its like fishing but a bit faster.... and it makes a nice change from pearl diving, on my bomy account I make loads more money than I do on my human account...

but I think we need other pearl colors (that wouldnt take a lot of scripting) and the pearl necklace making that stefan said he was going to make...

It could be like 8 pearls that you lay on a table then you have a needle NPC (like the rolling pin) and you go to one side and fire it then run to the other side and fire it to thread it together, and keep doing that, then sell it for like 12 gralat, or keep them and sell them to a player.. then you can make differant colors from differant pearls.

but there's no point. Bomys have no need for money if they cant buy anything.

there are some excellent ideas here. i especially like the wings, different pearls, and bomy arrow idea :)

Having the different color pearls would be good, and probably easier for stefan to take care of since he would just have to adjust the code on the current NPCs

Although, I would love to see the bomy wings happen. I would love to see *anything* happen for bomys really. We get so left out. There really is no point in being a bomy on the server at this point in time. Things seemed really fair and balanced at first, but sometime after April things just went horribly wrong. It would be great for us to have wings or something that we could buy to wear or use, something to make humans envy *us* instead of the opposite.

topaz = 2
sapphire = 3
ruby = 4
emerald = 5
diamond = 6

you can have them combine two to six gems for double the price of what you put them in for

i.e.

put in a pearl and a pearl and a topaz = 8g
put in three diamonds = 24g

but you would have to make it randomized with rarity between pearls

and whoever thinks bird catching is good is on lsd
