Built-In RC
 

I don't know if this was discussed before, but here goes!

For staff members of playerworlds there should be a special kind of Graal client. It would have a built in RC program, where you just press one of the "F" keys and it pops up a different option. The rest could be the same, and you could edit stuff through the normal looking playerlist.

In the options part, maybe you could enable/disable PM sounds, so when you get a PM, it bleeps or something. Maybe even a different sound for staff messages, mass messages and normal messages, so the staff wouldn't have to check their playerlist every 10 seconds for a new PM.

The owner of a playerworld could still set the rights of a staff account, so that they can only do certain things with the staff client. If the owner would add the right, "Can edit levels," then the LATs can just press F4, and the level pops up in an editor where they can save it, and it saves directly back into the playerworld and updates the level.

I don't know how hard this would be to make, because I don't know anything about programming, but I just like the idea.

yes it is a good idea...

would make life easyer.... but there would probably be some security problems...

Yea, some corrupt staff would make that program public

well make it like the cyrrent RC thingy to
like when you click edit the lvl a window pops up requiring you to put a uisername, a password etc and make it check for your IP then there shouldnt be as much security probs
but there is always the currupt staff

alot of people dont have a main specified ip address so this would be kinda hard.

when stefan posts a new version of an RC he posts it here where everyone can get it so :p, anyways, a client/RC hybrid would be neato

I don't think there would actually be security problems, the server only allows people to use the RC who have a admin level bigger then 0 (On that server) and are on that server's GP IP list thing. And since the check is done on the server and your admin level is stored on the server it would be extremely hard to hack it.

That's true. Most cases of RC 'hacking' are nothing more than someone giving out their password illegally.
