Alright well.. I was playing around with candy when I thought of a pretty cool idea.

The idea is this.. Each player has a "spirit" or "soul" inside of them.. when they die, the spirit comes out and floats around. When someone touches the spirit (if they have a bottle) they will get a bottled spirit.

Now here is the whole point.. When you have a spirit, you will not lose money/arrows/bombs when you die. You will just lose the spirit.. but once your spirit is gone, you will lose money and things normally. When you drink a bottle of spirit, you will gain a spirit back. So it's kind of like extra lives in a way.

As long as you have a spirit you won't lose money and things.. You can carry 3 around with you also. :) This would be cool to have and people could kill others and sell their spirit bottles at the market or something :D

Also, maybe in order to gain a spirit again without the use of a bottle you must have 100ap (when you first hit 100ap you get a spirit) But if you die with 100ap you won't get another until you lose ap and gain back up to 100 again.

What does everyone think? I think it would be great. :)

I thought of something dealing with the player's "essence", but this was waaay back when Asuka was king of Dustari. I had a magic idea which was much like what you just described.

Thats a good idea BUT.
You could have different strenght of spirits aswell depending on how low the players ap is

Below 40ap - weak spirit you will only hav arrows saved

41ap-50 - medium spirit - it will save bombs/arrows

50-60 ap - Normal Spirit saves bombs/arrows/5g

60-80 ap - Advanced Spirit saves bombs/arrows/half of the total money saved.

80-99ap - Holy Spirit saves bombs/arrows/most of money with a loss of around 5-10g

100ap - Saints spirit will save all you have.

Of course these would only be used when the spirit is introduced at first. Although u could be able to buy spirits in a shop maybe? And you can capture any type of spirit tho. But rather than having to just run upto it and touch it make it you have to fight it. the stronger the spirit the harder to catch.

I like it alot.
someone could make it then send it to stefan therfore not taking up much time at all apart from having to put it online:D

This is a good idea neo, but remember u can only loose 20g max anyway. And how would u fight the spirit unless it cut away like in FF :D . Or u could have it so if u got low ap u can only catch some and if u got high ap u can catch the better ones

It could fight by flying at your player and if it touchs you it take 0.5 hearts off you. But u must fight it with a special Bekun stick (that doesnt hurt players) it leaves a magicial trace that freezes the ghost for 3 secs and u can slash at it with your sword.

Not freezes, but stuns. If it freezes for 3 seconds, multiple players would gang up on it

Erm.. there shouldn't be npc shops that sell the spirits.. that would take away from players putting the value on how much they sell for.. Just like with instruments, no one wants to buy an instrument for the same or more then you pay in the store so no one would buy a spirit in the market or from another unless the price was cheaper then the store meaning loss of profit from the seller.

Having 10 different types of spirit might not be a good idea, it would be hard to tell which spirit does what for one.. They would have to be different colors and then even still it would be tough to tell..

However maybe it would be a good idea.. like when a player dies, depending on how much ap they have, a certain spirit is released. :)
