A change and farewell.

Hello.

I just want to apologize for my opinions and behaviors lately.

I left Graal for a while and expected to come back with it the same way.. welcoming me and accepting ideas as it once had.

I thought the community had changed, however, in reality, it wasn't even the community that needed to change.. it was me.
I didn't change. I just got careless for Graal and the way it is ran.
It is run by children and teenagers. They don't expect anything intelligent.. most of them expect only to do a job -- whether they do it well or not.

It was all the same.

The whole TrueHeaT anger issue isn't even against him.
He deleted the thread.
Sure, it was wrong, but if I had a problem I could have addressed it privately rather than publically.

Many of the same situations are existent.

Not much has changed.. no one does projects anymore let alone excitement.. no one even understands my stubborn and "careless" attitude anymore.
The people in Graal today are newer people who see things in a dictorial and ruleless manner.

That is not to be looked at as a bad thing; that is just how you are.. however, the people from my Graal era talked freely and carelessly.
We laughed and saw things humorously.
We didn't take things so seriously and offensively.. however, the people of today are different and in their own way.

I left on a good note before, and I shall do so again.

I had plans to start more projects and role-playing skits. I was going to make more levels and graphics and characters.. however, people are not into that anymore. I left for too long and now I cannot come back.
It is too different and dislikable for me.

I belonged in only the older days when things were as I entered them with.

Good day, and good night.

-------------------------------------

TrueHeaT: ban my forum account.
Stefan: unregister my Graal account.
everyone: ignore my existence.

I have too much going on in life.. I speak freely now and people in Graal cannot accept freedom of speech in its community.

AlkarenHyralt 10-22-2001 01:12 PM

As you said you can not help how you are, neither can I help how I am. I am a very serious person, who is very serious with most things I see. I mean no offense, this is just how I am. Perhaps I misintrepted your posts...if I did, that is my mistake. By the way...at the current time, mods can not ban accounts.

Slaktmaster 10-22-2001 01:18 PM

Good try at least. :)

This place was starting to absolutely suck, I was happy to see some changes. :(

toad1413 10-22-2001 01:19 PM

I feel as these ideas would have been a good idea for the community, but lately I've been in an inspirational, caring and thoughtfullness slump. ( :( Not fun, I suggest to everyone that they should try to avoid this, I'm just coming out of it finally, I spent a whole 1 and a half hours just laying in bed, thinking about stuff.) Maybe if I hadn't been so thoughtless lately I could have helped...

I feel as it is a maze with you Antago. One wrong move and you loose. If we say one wrong thing you quit. You didnt even try to improve graal, just posted on the forums why quit again when you have came back? Next time you come back no one will even believe it.

Antago you cannot expect that you only
get good replies if you post something on
a forum. Sometimes it's better to discuss
things in a smaller group of people if
you want to avoid that. Many people don't
know all the things you made for Graal2001.

Bye Antago?
The best event throughout Antago's little runby NewMain was when he had that war. It got so many people involved, and actually people actually enjoyed it(if you didn't enjoy it, then you weren't a part of the 99.9% of those who did).

I thought that NewMain could use more events like Antago's little war...
So in the future, I think, for the best, that NewMain should have more people events, rather than just kingdom roleplaying which is bearly noticeable unless you're a member of that specified kingdom. Something I saw on Providence(when it was still new), was the building of a local jail. While the levels were being made, players who had been 'invited', were given hammer items which allowed them to use the jhammer.gani. The more people who were hammering, the faster the levels were put online and updated. Once we had about 10+ people working inside of the jail basement, we had the whole thing done in minutes.
Since you're probley lost at this point in time, I'll give some suggestions for events which require alot of people:
-Forest Fires(players would get watercans and buckets of water to put out the fire)
-Floods(players would use buckets to obtain, and carry the water out of the flood area, perhaps the water could be used to put out the forest fire?)
-Snow(players could shovel snow for old ladies across NewMain ;))
-Rebuilding of playerhouses(old playerhouses, which the owners haven't payed up in quite a long time, could be demolished and rebuilt, then put up for auction, all demolishion would be done by players, and contests for the new playerhouses could be done on these forums).

I hope ya lasted long enough to read this.

Oh yeah, Hi everyone!

Heh, even Ice Pick is still here and playing Graal even tho everyone bashes him, and you, Antago leave after a few days just because some people were whining at something that was a poll. (=/)

Jeron, good ideas you have there.

Small groups are generally 10X nicer than the big groups.

AlexH 10-22-2001 10:39 PM

yea cause i neva roleplay on graal
mainly because no one else does
but i did when it was the whole antareo, bombarion(?) thing because it was fun

Sjc2k1 10-22-2001 10:39 PM

antago graal2001 became fun again with that war and that idea would have made graal2001 a fun place to be again ignore the people that flame you and poeple who dont let go off the past not everyone will like you and you wont like everyone but i bet there is alot more poeple that like you than hate you so stick with it and ignore the *****s.

Slaktmaster 10-22-2001 10:52 PM

Yeah, I really liked the ideas, I was hoping for something fresh.

feivel 10-23-2001 03:14 AM

I know everyone i saying Antago dont go...
so I thought i would put in my opinion,
Antago,
compare and contrast the amount of people you pleased,
and the amount of people you displeased,
You were making graal more fun for the avaerage player...
why stop having fun,
just cus some people dont think its fun,
everoyne has their opininion...
and those that were acting like asswipes shouldnt upset you becuase if they say you suck and you a power driven dictator...
that doesnt mean you really suck and yor a power driven dictator...
and like Stefan said about the small groups being more accepting then the buig groups...
you should have discussed this and these ideas with the group of people who suppported yah,
and those who thought it was stupid shouldnt be a part of it...
all the arguments started with people commenting on what you said, and their interpretation of our actions...
and once all the arguing starts its bound to keep going,
but its much easier to explain things to a smaller group...

DoragonKoden_RC15 10-24-2001 01:51 PM

Hey, Antago, . . .

I know exactly how you feel. You do so much for the game, and yet, people treat you like garbage.

Its quite fun, isn't it?

BrianDAPenguin2 10-25-2001 03:39 AM

Uh....Lycia? If I remember correctly, you made the forums, a part of the game a bad reputation and sickened us all.

When you have so many people in a group there has to be a problem with one of them or something else which conflicts.

Antago has the same sense of humour as the old gani guy that was on TOT... Rebel or something *shrugs*

I loved those old days...::cri::

When you never made my (Kung Fu Fighter) tag with FTP and so I had Stefan make it, which turned into a Samurai thing (dojo)...and when NightLord and everyone would always have CS...and when we would always reset our accounts from bomy to human because there were no items...

Yeah, but during this time, the bomies are becomming humans.
oh yeah, and notice that the remainder of Bomy Gang is mostly humans ;)

KJS 10-25-2001 03:54 AM

i liked the old old days... !!!

where guilds would be guilds... like websites for guilds and people would interact with eachother... but now guilds are just words.. something to have after you name.. something "cool"!!! like a word or a phraze... no one wants to ever start up...

like the old days.... where there would be a party when 100 people got on classic.... for the first time..

when classic was the only server for a long time.!!!

everyone would be nice... and just have fun...

i rememeber when stefan first added ap!!...

the old graal days... the fun days...

I've noticed Graal has changed from when I was in "The Flames" playing with my mates and having good times around the guild house without thinking of what to do next...to a Graal which power and money is primed (Graal as since I started to now)

Personnally all you can do is adapt

AAAAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHHAHAHA HAHAHA!@!!!...
Sorry Ghost, I just had to laugh because you said you were in "The Flames".

Butz 10-25-2001 06:29 AM

I'm usually silent on the issue of how Graal has changed over time, but really, it's true, things have changed greatly..
I remember the first time I played on classic, (when it was the only server =P), there were many nice people, and you could start a conversation just by walking up to somebody and saying "Hello".. People were always helping each other on quests WITHOUT wanting to be paid for it, and all I had to do was dodge the occasional pk-er or two and everything was fine...
I remember the parties at the singles club under the bridge, and the little Moondash fan club I had with a few other people...
I also remember the arrival of Destiny after the 4th of July...
But now, Graal is too dependant on money and greed...
Pk-ers run rampant, waiting to descend on any traveller who walks by, the only events we have are sparring tournaments, or sports games. The quest content is sorely lacking, and the whole server is losing its appeal...
The Graal program has improved greatly, becoming less laggy, and more secure...but the Graal culture has shifted to almost like an unhappy working class, after long times of freely wandering adventurers...
I am going to seriously think about renewing my account come February...If not to play Graal with, then maybe only to remain on the Forums, so I may talk with the people I have met here..
I've ranted enough for now, and I'm a busy Vulpine, so that's all I've got to say for now...

Jerom 10-25-2001 06:33 AM

Butz, whenever I see your art, it reminds me of a young Vermain on Classic.
I don't know, it's wierd like that.
