*Needs help yet again*

:mad: This proabably seems like a noobish question for you ppl, but how could i make it so that i go faster than normal in water or on snow? like ice skates or something...

your gonna have to use the board[] command to find what tile you are on and then you will have to add a number to the playersx or y depening on their direction to go faster, and you will have to add onwall testing so they cant cheat

x.x, i'm not that good, don't know the board[] stuff (i suck at npc scripting, just learning some stuff now) can u give me an example of how to use it, and how would i start it. Like if(inwater) for example

btedji 10-07-2001 02:23 AM

if(board[x+64*y]=watertile#){then do this}

LinksReturn 10-07-2001 02:26 AM

uh oh...
that looks complicated :(:megaeek:

If you have the test version of 2.1 you can also use tiles[x,y]. It's a bit simpler than board[]. -Yin

"if" is the great question

True, however the test version was publicized fairly well, and if he doesn't have it there's nothing wrong with using the method you posted above. -Yin

I HAD it, but when the newer versions came out, i just cut and lvls or anything from there, and put them in the new graal folder. I'll try to use that board[] thingy, but i don't know if it will work

SagaTCN 10-08-2001 02:22 AM

test version? lol

Just why do you want to use board[] to check for water?

if (onwater(x,y))

Does the same thing.
