You need to drop a ruppee and pick it up for the item to be put into your inventory...they turn into gralats so you cannot pick up your item.

I've seen people on SL using staff boots, magic spells, etc. They got the NPCW's from a trainer. Somehow the trainer enables the user to add NPC's to the server and to the player's itemlist...without showing those NPCW's in the weaponlist.
