Updated Era Power Rankings
 

Hey all,
Since my last power rankings were such a hit, I think I'll update them weekly.
Just a reminder: this is my personal opinion on the current lineup of active players. That's a lot of qualifications! So don't get mad at me when XYZ isn't on the list.

I'm ranking these players combining their PK and spar skill. So without further ado:
1. BlasterX (active enough to be back on top in my opinion)
2. EP
3. Corey
4. *Godzilla
5. Sabotage
6. Storm
7. *Zelot
8. Jesse
9. *swift
10. Cyclone Soul

You should put account names in parenthesis.

I still have no idea who this EP guy is, I saw a player named EP attempt to participate in gang events last weekend but he was too laggy to play in the first half. When he finally got it under control (still 250.. on some Godzilla ****) he got BTFO in the first round of both TTS and GW by random sparrers whom I cant even remember cause they were so average/random.

I hope that isn't the guy you've posted on the top of these lists.

Wil and Corey will always be top 2 imo, Zilla is respectable at the 3 spot and the rest are just awful players from what I've seen in comparison to these top 3 and the old top players like in the Unofficial Forum lists; the gap is so insanely wide you should really skip the numbers 4 & 5.

Like, I've never even heard of Jesse. I'm unsure of who Sabotage is as well. (I'm online daily, I have nearly 10k hours)
Storm was involved in the gang events with EP and despite having 250-GZ lag he could'nt go positive, let alone carry his team (any top 10 player requirement?) while mine swept the events. (That 3v4v4v4 KoTH win while Tre jerked off... that's the kind of carry **** you'd want in a top 10 player)
Swift & Cyc were both maybe-Souls at best during their prime, which was years ago in both cases (back then we had players like Slash/Kaz in top 10-20 not even 1-10). I guess you had to fill out the bottom of the list with safe-picks though.
And I flawed Zelot with a stun-gun during some random BH-PK; Godzilla tried to help him and I neo-tie-died with him (GZ) so he left me alone, I'm sure he remembers. Zelot kept coming back at me 5 or 6 times while I was talking to Merc people, he died every time, to my stun-gun/melee combo...

Edit: Sorry didn't mean to make it about me (too inactive for this), that's just my observations, saying that you should really separate the top 3 from the '10 best noobs this week'.

I noticed new people just this weekend (Bloodwork is back, Fubaaz) in gang events I had to focus/kill or run away from.. it's not really hard to stand out from the crowd of noobs; these other guys just haven't done it.

I think I know who Sabotage is, but that's why I said he should include account names to verify (I have nicknames disabled, so if I was to notice one of these players it would probably involve a right-click).

I just saw Jesse on RC so now I know who he is, but I cannot yet link a image/character to it that is worth any extra attention when I pk the way seeing Angla/Wil/GZ/Rams/Ish/You would change how I would approach a fight/spar. And that's what I'd expect a good player to do; none of the other guys on this list have any presence worth noticing in a room full of PKers and that's why I originally posted saying the lists should be separate.

i was on the other night and watched corey beat EP like 6 times in a row and then i asked Ep the question. Do you think you're better than Corey? His answer was a straight no.

Your list is biased. (Not to mention i also beat him in a spar, one of my first spars in monthssss i fail to see what's so special about him)

Rogue... You always type essays when these power rankings come out i think you're just mad you aren't in them. Also lol@ you saying you don't know who sab is when he's been around longer than you.

it would be so cool if there was some mathematical way that you could determine who the best player is using something like mathematics

I do not think 'best' is the sort of the thing that can be objectively quantified. Even if you had a mathematical means, that would just be biased to whatever variables you set it to. I think the issue here is we do not all have an agreed upon set of variables, nor can we lol, since some people seem to change theirs all the time.

As for this ranking, who cares after #1? It's either #1 or bust, man.
Anywho, the ranking does sort of say 'active.' From what I can tell, these are the guys I constantly run into whenever I do my twice a week log on.

there is one way, but it is based off activity. you can use and combine the top sparrers for the week at the spar complex (currently godzilla) and the top gang players (godzilla is in second place right now). going off of those, godzilla is #1 when it comes to current active pkers/sparrers. this is solely based on current stats though.

shame there is nothing like that (all-time stats) when it comes to gang points (maybe there should be?). gang points only does weekly. but anyways, neither is accurate (weekly and overall) for obvious factors; for example: koho isn't in the top 5 overall but I am sure he is a better sparrer than bloodykiller and aldreen95? kidspy is above him as well, but I am sure he is a better sparrer than him too (koho just isn't active as much). but the weekly one is the most accurate to use when it comes to the best current sparrers based off activity. if you were someone that just looked at stats only, then yeah, godzilla is #1 right now. washemplae tho.

also, why does the list not update the top gangs? it only updates top players. you have to press p to see the correct top gangs list and their points. talkin about when you press "=" to bring up the list that shows the top gangs, top gang players, and active base perks. the top gang players are correct and get updated, but not the gangs. I dunno about the base perks either.

The power rankings have never been based off of stats but opinion and observation; Wil beats everyone -> Will is the best -> Corey beats everyone but Wil 65% of the time -> Corey is the second best -> only person(s) that can consistently kill godzilla is Wil, Corey and Dusk -> Dusk is third and Godzilla is fourth.

It has nothing to do with stats because everyone in that over-all list is absolutely putrid and sat there for months and did nothing but spar when the tracking system for kills/deaths/overall stats in spars was released while the rest of us kept PKing.

p.s just shows you how much of a tool he is when he place loganoob above Jin.. Jin is even better than you Zilla. Remove your lag you wouldn't make top 50.

He knows i do not play anymore. He's running scared. Asif im going to play for a week just for him to bet me (which he wont). A week on that game would put me in my grave. You just lost 10-0, plus an additional spar in which you were flawlessed. I am not saying you're wrong, I just want to know your criteria for consistency. Should I laugh now or wait for your answer? ;)

wil is pretty good when he tries. i saw him in a betspar (not sure about that) with dusk some months back. the bet was if wil could beat dusk 24 or 27 times in a row or something like that. i got bored so i stopped watching, but when i stopped, it was 17-0 wil or something like that.

I don't betspar, I think I just told him I would own him 30x straight for the hell of it. We left off at 27-0, I think he won the 28th. He went nuts, but I guess he earned it.

There is a thin line that separates Wil and his surrounding competition, I at one time had found the line and destroyed him consistently (Maybe due to his inactivity his skill level dropped) Now in no way do I really think that I am better than him, nor do I think I will ever become better than him because quite honestly, the game isn't filled with enough competition to strive to be the best.

Yeah, you beat me 10-0 but I also told you to wait in 6 of those spars due to FPS issues and you continued to shoot me and when I was going to try fix it; you started your big headed trash talk so I decided to take the disadvantage and fight on.

Dying to you is like dying to a non-gang member in a raid; No one cares because you aren't apart of their competition. I like that you come on every once in a while to spar a few times and log off because the people who rush to spar you are the same people who have been sparring against their competition whilst you have been gone, striving to reach the next level.

I've reached the level I will be at; I beat everyone except Wil, Corey and maybe Dusk, I already proved that and I'm fine to be at that level.

People cry about lag but the truth is; Stop making yourself feel better with an excuse as to why you lost, Wil, Corey, Dusk, myself, EP, all of us don't complain about laggers because if you're good enough, you should be able to beat everyone, period.

I also find it funny that people like Koho talk **** about laggers, if I recall correctly you have more MS than me and Angla combined yet for some reason you feel as if you are "skilled"? No, if all laggers have no skill, you have no skill but the truth is; we do have skill and without lag I'm willing to bet we would be better than what we are with it.

@Godzilla.. I got 180ms.. you got 300ms. See the difference? Stop the excuses. Wil stomped you 28-0. That just ends this silly nonsense.
