Why did we remove the option to toggle to the old inventory?

In all honesty, I'm just as furious as Eclipse is about this. Your inventory is fine, just isn't for me or any of the people I have played with. /inventory became a regular command I typed in when logging on, when I logged in 10 minutes ago and it was said that it wasn't a command I thought I made a typo, I tried again and now I'm on the verge of quitting.

Not only is the team gotten to the point of uselessness, you're no longer caring about what the **** people want and only what you want, completely ****ing gangs by not having your system fully ready, creating 2 gangs which we know will never be balanced or fair now deleting something most of us have used for 10+ years. Note that this server is FULL of oldbies, we understand you're trying to create change for newer-players to have an easier ride but don't remove our option to stick with what we know and what we love.

Understand that your inventory isn't for everyone and create an option to tick in the options box or let us keep using /inventory

Pick your ****ing game up, all of you, get useful or get out. Don't force a change that isn't needed, you're just pissing people off now.

It doesn't matter what is done ever, you'll all just ***** and complain no matter what. NONE OF YOU EVEN KNOW WHAT YOU WANT! Think from Tim's shoes for once, all the time and effort he's put into all these new things and all he gets is whining and people treating him like ****. If you think you can do better, by all means step right up. If you havent noticed he's the only one actually working on new things. If we keep clinging to the past and refusing change the game is going to die.....

You guys constantly say how you want to move forward with the server. One way to do so is to get rid of the ridiculous outdated GUIs and replace them with better full-featured ones. It's hard to add new features to the game when you have to script everything to work with both systems - especially if you keep doing that with every system that gets revamped.

Why was the option to switch back even removed? I don't see how that benefits everyone at all. Now you're catering to people who know nothing other than what they see.

You talked about how you wanted to move forward with Era, we all agreed but I don't see us moving at all? I see corrupt useless staff sitting in the same positions as they have been for years doing nothing.

All I have seen for a while now is Tim, doing whatever he can, when he can. Why is he solo carrying the team to a better future?

Now he has decided to no longer cater to everyone but only the people who have no idea there was another inventory that you could toggle.

It's easy to move forward, It's easy to create hype, It's easy to do everything you stated you would do but all I see is your team pissing off half of the player-count in the process.

I think the old inventory is better to be honest. I hate how the tabs and **** glitch on displaying items sometimes like example i drop 1k lead it and shows i still have 1k lead on me. There was nothing wrong with having a /inventory so if people want to use it still they can. Sorry Tim but your inventory is annoying

I was going to heavily side with the upset people here, but if you have to script things individually per system, then that makes sense. Some warning would have been nice, though.

Optimization woooooo

It's been up for like 6 months as the primary one. Other things were intertwined with it, so the old one got scrapped after having no unique features left.

I hated it at first, then I got tired of toggling it and in the end, it's just better overall lol. Forgot there was an old inventory until I saw this crying. :noob:

why does Tim inventory puts my iron in the food tab ???
Also when you deposit money it still show that you have the money still on you when you don't
example i had 11k on me when i deposit my money it still show i had 11k on me when i didn't.

These are things that should be filed under the support center/bug report. things like these can't be fixed unless people know the issues exist, and there are plenty of avenues to do this through the game itself.

Cash icon will always remain in your inventory, and the iron is in the food tab because you put it there. It doesn't mis-sort anything. Just drag it to another tab.

i wish everyone would just stop thinking of themselves and push for the betterment of the server.

Old, some stuff has changed, but not by much.

I'll make a new video tomorrow, there are a lot of features that aren't in that video.

One big thing is potion duration, could you include a tab for that please?

Just look for the potions icon, it's an item that will typically be near cash.

If you can't find the potion item in your inventory, just use the search and look up 'potion'.

this inventory sucks plain and simple,

If it were to be any better you need to put the weight / volume/ walk speed on the opposite side like the old inventory was or just make us able to drag and drop it anywhere we want

even tho we can "change" the color the ugly black background is still the majority of the color we see.


This whole search the inventory bar is stupid, unless you have 6 million items- but how lazy do you have to be to type out what u want instead of scrolling on the mouse???
we should have the option to drag and drop that out

and for all you ****s that think i am the only one about a 1/3rd of the server was mass messaging and setting nicknames to how much they dislike the new one

It gets a bit annoying putting 3000 or so lead in a bin and having to wait 5 minutes for it to get there.

Including this option in the first place was a stupid move. The players just have to accept the changes that are being made, and they will eventually. Keeping old stuff around because some players don't like any of the changes is just unprofessional.

You're not even giving the inventory a chance. You're complaining because that's what you do. I don't think I've ever seen a post where you're not making something up to complain about. The color black? Really? I don't know if you know this, but the color black is everywhere. Sorry to burst that bubble. The search bar is made for players who have a lot of items, you don't even have to see it unless you tap 'Q'. Also I don't see how moving the weight limit to the left side of the screen will do any good. It's moved over to the right for organization purposes. No one wants to see a screen full of cluttered up text.

The bottom line is the new inventory is here to stay. It is a major leap over the primitive older inventory (10+ years old). The server doesn't need two inventory systems. It will only cause more confusion moving forward.

The option was created due to the new inventory being in beta up until six months ago. You are right, it should have been removed then.

If you right click the number you can statically assign the amount you'd like to drop. You can also push '-' to jump to the max quantity.

I still don't have any issues with the usability or functionality of Tim's inventory, but the aesthetics leave a hell of a lot to be desired.

It would be nice if we could change the theme for it. (or make our own)

Also, I don't know if this is possible already, but it would be nice if you could delete, add, rename, etc the tabs.

why do my guns not show up on the unsorted tab, i refuse to use these stupid tabs

See, you're not even trying to give the inventory a shot. By default the inventory doesn't sort anything within tabs, it's purpose is to allow players to customize it however they'd like. That means being able to rename tabs, and dragging items into those tabs.

If you're wanting to have all your guns unsorted, then hit the sort button (which will unsort or sort).

Well, if you take a look at that screen shot, you'll notice that the only thing you're seeing is what currently applies to your character at that very instance you opened your inventory. Which means, if you did happen to have a gun equipped, then it would display what ammunition type you're using and how much you have left.

I liked the new inventory... Old one was boring to look at and had to scroll forever to find items.

Eclipse you forever run your mouth at Tim & he's the only one who ever did attempt to make era a better place. I say just remove the inventory from him alone as he doesn't like it and refuses to use it and see how much he misses it.

I made the inventory for everyone.

I enjoy the inventory, it's awesome. I don't get why everyone is complaining.
It's literally the exact same thing as the old inventory plus features you may or may not use if you chose not to.

Exactly. You can so easily make it the same as the old inventory. You can even change the color to be the same. Then just have everything on one tab and use "small" mode.

OR, you can auto-sort everything, and suddenly it gets 10x easier to find the items that actually matter (food + weapons) when you need them on the fly.

More/custom themes. All I'm saying :P

I thought you were making graphics? I said I'd be happy to allow custom themes, I just don't have a base template image.

The old inventory show me exact rocks i had on me.
This one just says 1k 2k 3k etc. Would be appreciated if we can get this change to show exact rocks i have on me

Hover the mouse over it, or click it, it shows.

As shrimps said, just click the item for more specific information (it will show up in your side panel). The reason I did this is because any text over three characters for the quantity will show up outside the item slot, that's why it's abbreviated.

Also, I added a new option to allow the inventory to be dragged to any location on your screen. I'll update the script later so it remembers your location as well.
