Kingdom message boards/Shop message posts

Message Board
------------------------

Located outside of each Kingdom's Castle or near the dock to Main island.

Opens like the Quest book in MMT.

Rulers and specific ranks have the ability to write in them.

Used for information such as:
Announcements, upcoming events, rules, how to join, etc.

Could be obtained through Resource Points.

Message Post
----------------------

Could be used inside player-owned shops.

For example, a player's shop contains skill scrolls and talismans.
New players don't know if they need these or what they're for. Shop owner could write this information on the sign.

Only the owner can write in it.

Could open in F2 or like the Quest book in MMT.

Could be craftable or purchased for NC.

Thoughts?

This sounds like a great idea, but I would propose having it scripted into a UI that can be accessed anywhere. Not restricting people to having to actually go to the island to check the board for updates.

You might be in luck, specifically since I believe Nico to be working on an updated GUI for GK, it wouldn't be too hard for him to work in a new "message board" function.

I love the idea Bruxsa, and I love the support from Raelyn too! Awesome.

Having a tab for message boards on the UI would be a great idea! Further the communication of players, and allow offline players to read more about what is happening/what they've missed and be able to access it right in game! I feel that having links to websites is just a turn off for some people that are lazy and sadly, we have to accept that and find ways to present information in more convenient ways.

We are planning on an In-Game Forum. Eventually a kingdom board in-Game might work too. But that will take some time.

Some ingame forum's would be cool. I agree linking to a website is quite the turn off.. Just about as much as every new server trying to start a new website with a new forum that you gotta then sign up and remember a password for. But these forums are due for some major renovations and I know I am not the only person who has said that.
