Issues with Graal Period

At the top left of my window i cant see my item images sword weps ect. every time anyone or myself walks or move they disappear and when they stop or idle they reappear i cant hear sounds or my person disappears when slashing a sword and yeah i can't really play the game like this.
I tried re installing several times but no luck :/
I can't play the game like this and I have asked many different people so idk what else to do.
This is a pain in the ass.

Jakov_the_Jakovasaur 01-24-2014 07:55 AM

are your graphics drivers up to date?

Gold1 01-24-2014 08:49 AM

Well it's a brand new computer so I assume they are.

Gos_pira 01-24-2014 10:46 AM

A computer spends a lot of time collecting dust, not being connected to internet, before anyone buys it. Drivers may be months old when you unpack it. Go check for a new version, it might actually help!

Assumptions get you nowhere.

What OS?

Is this happening on every server you log on to?

TSAdmin 01-24-2014 02:51 PM

Sounds like default files such as "walk.gani" and such are not being transferred to you quickly enough. I noticed this happened commonly on V5 if you logged in after a fresh install and deletion of all local content, then went to a server too quickly from Login before default files were downloaded. If only to add to the list of things you already are being suggested/asked above, I would say if you're doing what I mentioned, try just sitting at the Login screen for a minute or 2 without logging in, log in and sit at the server list for a minute or 2 as well and then try a server again.

Gos_pira 01-24-2014 06:15 PM

Also, it might be good to put Graal in a location that doesn't require administration rights. If so, the directory might get write protected which makes the client unable to store any content downloaded from servers.

Draenin 01-24-2014 08:45 PM

Also, when you connect to a server and walk around and whatnot, do you get any error messages in your F2 menu? Might help to post some of that here if that's the case.

Gold1 01-24-2014 09:31 PM

Thanks for the suggestions guys. But it only seems to be with one server the rest seem fine with images sounds ect.
Idk i've never had this issue with Graal before so I didn't really know what to do about it. Ill try the above suggestions and if no luck I'll get back to you guys.
Thanks

No error messages at all.
Graal runs perfectly smooth and i have a 144 mbps connection so it should no take more than seconds for the images ect to load.

Gold1 01-24-2014 10:46 PM

Well I tried all the above suggestions and no luck. I looked for an update for my video card which btw is AMD Radeon R9 200 Series it is up to date. Downloaded direct X and re-installed Graal placing it in a different easier destination also allowed it just in case in firewall settings. Nothing. I looked in my gani folder and I did notice however walk.ani wasn't in there so i got it from the forums, downloaded it, and added it to the folder I reconnected and when i logged back on I could see a gani when I walked but now it wasn't right. It was completely ****ed up looking not aligned at all and it wasn't just me it was everyone on my screen when they walked. I don't know what this issue is but to be it seems like a client issue either way it needs to be fixed. I can't play the game like this.

fowlplay4 01-24-2014 11:07 PM

Delete your Graal folder and install it to C:\Graal

Gold1 01-24-2014 11:35 PM

Tried didn't do anything apparently I'm not the only one with this problem.
This has to be a client issue.

Jakov_the_Jakovasaur 01-24-2014 11:47 PM

you said this was only happening on one server, which one is it?

Gold1 01-24-2014 11:55 PM

Un

Jakov_the_Jakovasaur 01-25-2014 12:00 AM

seeing as un uses the built-in movement and hud and there are no other servers which do the same for both left on the server list, you should probably try logging on a few random rental servers to see if any of them produce the same behaviour

if you cant replicate it, see if the same thing happens on un when logged in as a guest

Gold1 01-25-2014 03:42 AM

I take that back it's for every server. I'm getting sick of this **** I've tried everything.

I tried basically everything and I'm still having issues man.

if youre not getting messages within the f2/files menu for missing files, try pressing f3 and toggling 'Use OpenGL for Graphics'

Gold1 01-25-2014 10:40 PM

I got it. For all others having this issue hit f8 type in Login2 in the box and connect to it and from there click start and download all packages.
Problem fixed.

Tim_Rocks 01-27-2014 08:41 PM

Did anyone ever figure this out? It just started happening to me today. I've already uninstalled Graal and reinstalled it.

On a mac btw.

Edit: Apparently logging into Zodiac fixed it.

-HateD- 01-28-2014 02:48 AM

Had the same issue with same symptoms. Someone gave me a copy of their levels folder and replacing the one installed with that fixed it. I get a random bug of the client going full black though...

Tim_Rocks 01-28-2014 02:50 AM

Apparently Era isn't connected to the default animations? So it was never getting downloaded until I logged into Zodiac.

shrimps 01-28-2014 02:52 AM

I just copied my old graal folder from my laptop.
