This happened to me yesterday. I screenshotted it, but I guess I didn't save it. I've never had the crack appear in the wall before, but plenty of times, monsters appear in the wall. A lot of times, I can't see them to kill them. The times I do see them, it'll be an Ice Fiend or something where I can really only kill them with an elemental or avatar.
I also noticed that this happens way more often in the easy dungeon. Usually within a few floors of skin collecting, I can't keep going because the cracks never appear from unseeable monsters. Maybe my resolution isn't high enough to see them, but they kinda need to not be in the walls anyway. |
I recently went through a whole bunch of levels in the xmas dungeon, and a lot of the monsters are actually going invisible to where you just have to GUESS where the monsters are, and sometimes the monsters still sit inside the walls where you can't get them unless you have certain spells.

Having regularly gotten so deep in this dungeon that only 2 monsters spawn at a time, I can say that this does happen... very rarely.
Maybe one every half dozen levels a monster will spawn on a wall or something.. but generally you're using a bow for most effective clearing anyway. Rarely, maybe 10% of these will spawn so far away that you can't get them... in which case you can just spam bullet storms and get them. In the superduper rare case this monster is a vampire guard... well just restart cause that's like 1/10000 levels. The cracks spawning on walls was fixed pretty effectively by Deas last I checked, I used to be prohibited from going more than 30-40 levels down, right when you start getting rewarded with max monster spawns of like 10~. Now I constantly always get to 2 monsters, every time, and can go for hours until I get bored. Unless something changed..? the cracks should always be within skii range. |
