I just started playing GK! I'm level 10 and I'm loving it, it's a great server :)

Does anyone have any tips on how to level, and about crafting (mining etc)?

Best place to lvl up is a cave near igloo town.
I would recommend u to get a bow that is blessed with Govannon to kill the monsters faster, considering that you're only lvl 10.

there are alot of places to level, also should try the vanirs hollow crypt. You can actually craft alot of nice items in several towns, for more information feel free to PM any FAQ.

Vinars crypt? I'm level 80 and I still can't defeat anything in there or outside.

Should improve your phys/wis in the other dungeons first then. Or find 2 higher leveled players to join the crypt.

You're telling Wilikas to go to crypt when I can't even do it. O_O

Yeah and? Of course he can try it, maybe 2 strong players will go with him? It is never bad to make the experience, even if you lose the first time.

I was owning the crypt on my brigid account at low levels tho. HW'd them hard.

He's level 10. Brigid requires some very specific spells and enough grace to keep casting them. Telling someone who's fresh to the game to enter the hardest dungeon in the game is a bit odd.

If anything, we need harder monsters... since level 60 phys (which took literally a day) every monster on the server is no challenge (1 arrow/slash) or just a nuisance to kill (100 arrows, no exp). The only challenge/thing I generally can die to is kvasir (because he can kill you from anywhere in the level and never stops moving v.v).. but he takes just 10 minutes of the day for a still, miniscule amount of exp at higher levels.

Imho, crypt should be reduced to 18 or 12 hours (players can still only do it 1-2 times a day because logical restrictions, but it would be more readily available, such as if I do it at 4am one morning, i need to wait 2 days cause I can't be online at that time the next). And more dungeons like it should be a focus, not raffles or renovating non-broken levels. Since these limited access bosses are the best way to introduce a controllable item outlet other than crafting. Not to say raffles aren't cool, but the only way to obtain a large majority of items is to be online for random-chance free items... which makes for a very unappealing economical aspect of the server.

You should explain why govannon works better instead of just saying it does
