Two Levels - Era

I haven't opened Graal Editor in a while so I thought I would make a few levels with the little free time I have. I had Era's tileset added in the editor so I just started designing from there. Once again, all criticism is welcome and I hope you like it. ^^

First Level - Gated Community, Residential Area with middle class style housing. Main street adjacent to a small beach area with vegetation.

Second Level - Urban Area, Chinatown/Downtown District mixed with commercial and residential building (condominium). One way street adjacent to main street.

I like them. :)

I like these, but one thing that stands out to me and is a little tacky is the different colored brick on the second screenshot.

Chinatown/Downtown District, seems like it would be patchwork anyway.

Shrimps, Yeah the districts goes hand in hand really.

Taylor, I was trying to create those two tone condominiums you see here in America or at least in the West Coast. I also don't feel too highly of it and I could replicate what I was referencing if I made the graphics myself.

Rave, thank you. I really appreciate your words and it has always been fun seeing each others development and work.

I didn't have much to work with and I had to go out of my way to make certain images work with my editor, and especially to get the tile set working. I think I would need to reinstall my Graal folder.

Despite being a little weird in a few spots, those roofing tiles are pretty cool.

not sure if double yellow lines are needed when there's only one lane going in either direction ._.

maybe it's different in 'murica

ArushenP2P 03-03-2013 10:30 AM

Honestly yes that is how they do it here in America lol

so ugly ):

ArushenP2P 03-03-2013 10:49 AM

Sadly I would have to agree to an extent, because urban planning here in America is horrible.

BiTzSam 03-03-2013 11:39 AM

I like them both, not a fan of the arrows on the road on the secound image, but i like how it gives you a chinatown feel, probably because of that entrance things you added.

Nice

ArushenP2P 03-04-2013 12:15 AM

Yeah, too bad the Paifang (Arch Entrance) isn't wide enough to canopy the street.

BlueMelon 03-04-2013 03:27 AM

These levels look nice!
