House auctions, Feb 23-24 at 5PM EST

You all know the drill. Will be auctioning houses of all kinds over the weekend, on saturday and sunday. There should be quite a few SR houses, assuming nobody auctions them beforehand.

As always, I'll do my best not to let life interfere, but should something come up, another staff will probs take my place and auction as planned.

Questions here, stay safe.

I think someone should construct a detailed scheduled as to which house will be auctioned at what time etc, although this might be a little too professional for Era.

Scoper 02-20-2013 05:00 PM

I run them back to back, so as to save time, because everyone is a douche and does 1$ up bids, so each house STILL takes 20 minutes. Impossible to schedule around such idiocy

Okay not impossible, but..a waste of effort.

Somebody could always change the system to put a minimum required raised bid to be set by the auctioneer.

I took a small walk around Southridge, to look at the inside levels of all accessible houses.

I have to say, they look abysmal (except for the two that looked decent) . So my question is if you own a house are you allowed to change the inside of it and how much would that cost me?

- Uploading a new level/room: $25,000
- Uploading a new storage level/room (With secure areas and doors): $30,000
- Remodeling/Editing a current room: $15,000 (Major edits, not fixing doors or links etc.)

Alot of effort went into SR homes so there not going to be editable for a little bit.

Andre2006 02-21-2013 05:25 PM

Aww damn.

BlueMelon 02-21-2013 08:13 PM

they look superb if you ask me O_o
Alot better then most NR houses.

bloodykiller 02-21-2013 08:56 PM

houses dnt need to look nice, they're just good for storage/sparring so not allowing a player to add an extra storage or a spar is pointless
maybe make the levels non-editable but give the opportunity to add a spar or a storage with a similar theme?

The non-edit is a temporary measure of respect to my fellow LATs who have worked too many hours on those levels to just go deleting them right away.

So Andre, sure you can edit them, just..not now. Soooooomeday

I'm sorry, but I don't really get that. Putting all that effort into house levels, which people always want to customize to their own tastes. Especially when it's going to be locked to 95% of the server and players aren't going to get to enjoy the levels anyway. That just seems counterproductive in my opinion.

I've taken a second walk around Southridge. Houses have been updated and they look decent, despite the 2 that still look bad (one being the house with red tiles and stupid light effect that's been put on it ;) )

Southridge being open, I assumed the development had been finished.

I'm just waiting for this auction now.

Aint used this forum in ages! I agree most houses with the pattern it had were awfull, not sure why people done those in the first place and most levels were far too symetrical. The people who have revamped the houses has done an extremely good job as they feel more "home" like.
