New gang base is depressing

Hey. I'm not sure about you, but I am quite sick of the black tiled levels (looks like this one got some lighting effect on it as well).

It's nigh on impossible for me to stand a 5 minute raid inside of this.
The strain the base puts on my eyes is ridiculous, I get tired and annoyed.
The base is also pretty damn depressing to look at.

I will be the first to agree that black tiled levels are vastly overused. Though in here we used some tiles I've never even seen used on the server before. And that was the theme of the gang we were trying to represent. In fact we used pre-existing LS levels and modeled them right off the theme.

Perhaps though this issue is personal, such as with your computer monitor. I can see from the screenshots that you don't even have the light/darkness effects enabled that make it even darker (maybe it just does that to take SS?). Yet for me (I play in the preset gaming mode for my monitor, yet still reduced the brightness because I have bad eyes), I wanted to further increase the darkness effect because it was too bright. Though didn't because just 1 of the 10 people in there while we were making it said it was 'too dark' when increased.

If anything I would get tired and annoyed at the default font size and visible nicknames you have there. Even the default projectiles somewhat irk me. But, well that's just me.

This is probably the darkest base we've made because that was the theme. Though if it really presents an issue with pking (like if we had totally black bullets somewhere) I'll change it up. Yet it's not even been a day... so we'll see I guess.

im looking from my phone, so its hard to tell if its the levels or effects, but if its an effect; turn off day/night affects

I like the font, and the day/night effects can't be disabled on my V6 version (if they are even enabled that is).

It would be fine if they (whoever) would just remove the dark room effect is disabled. It's a gang base, things need to be visible.

yes it is true, that's why we must get the goggles when the power goes out in avant!
I don't see how that base didn't take off :/ It was fun.

Well, I only added that effect to Avant cause I thought it would be a nice mini game. Things are very visible when the lights are on! ;)

the standards for levels are so low these days. most of them follow the same typical gray scale theme with bright neon lights scattered everywhere. it's uncreative and poor level design. I just walked into like 7 different buildings on era that all follow this same pattern. sadly era reminds me of how knockoff modern playerworlds were like back in the day.

the base (strangely) looks raidable.

black tiles are dumb, unless you make bullets white inside of the base

Yeah, mine are hot pink c: easy to see on everything. But everyone else still uses 'floor 1' and etc. so I don't see what the issue is.

I'll mess with the darkness effects and make it brighter when I get on.
