Server Options question

Hey, I was just wondering how the cheatwindows= option in the server options actually works. Can somebody explain to me? The RC help message explains EVERY option, except this one.

It detect's the window caption of other windows you have open on your computer. (the text at the top of the windows).. if it detects a window caption that is in that list, it will say they are cheating and disconnect them, and even possible ban them.

The problem is, you have to know the names of EVERYTHING they are using to cheat with (name of trainers and such). Also, if you open a folder named the same as one of those windows you trigger the alert as well.. so it's not perfect.

ex:
PHP Code:

cheatwindows=CheatTool

I am not going to post any window's here even tho it's probably obvious to most people.

That's what I figured it would do, but I tested it out and it didn't do anything at all. That's why I was asking. That's odd :O

Stefan's said that there is now a global list and that you don't need the list on your server. I don't know whether that means the local list doesn't work or not, though.

As far as I know, the local list functionality was removed years ago.

After someone put skype and firefox on the list (I believe)

Alf's mom should be on the list.

Honestly anyone that has Internet Explorer open deserves to be banned.

I think it would have been better to just limit it to logging and no disconnect than to remove it completely.
