Free steam games?

Hi mods, if this is against the rules just delete the topic, I assume it'll be allowed though

Sup guys, I just recently bought a bundle of games that came in two parts. One of the parts included these games:

Darksiders
Red Faction: Armageddon
Metro 2033
Company of Heroes
Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts
Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor

I already own almost all of these on steam, and should I redeem the code for the one game I don't own (tales of valor), then all the others get burned up.

Soo would any of you be interested in it? I thought it might be fun to event it off or something. Sound worth doing?

This key is through steam, for the PC. you need a PC and steam to play them.

I'd say I want a game, but then I'll feel bad for knowing it'll probably never be touched like most of the other games in my Steam library.

I'll take it off your hands, i got a brand new gaming computer so i feel worthy. Ya kno, dont want some nub with a dual core 2.2GHz running a dedicated graphic card and 2GIG ram... its safer in my hands. Plus im low on games for my computer.

while you may be right, that's noooo fun.

@dusty...yeah. Went pretty crazy during the christmas sales last year (dropped like 400$), do all the bundles..haven't even touched 10% of my games.

Just because you have a "gaming" computer doesn't mean you deserve them-- maybe if you didn't blow all your money on expensive hardware you could actually get games.
At least you aren't one of those pretentious brats that pirates every game because they think they're entitled to it because they own a "gaming" pc.

I've been a happy camper for the past half year on my AMD Athlon II X4 645 3.2GHZ + Radeon HD 6670 + 4GB of ram on 1280x800 (1680x1050 16:10 monitor) with medium settings, 120fps+ stable on pretty much any game but Natural Selection II (traded my 20key tf2 unusual for it)-- Natural Selection II is by far the best game I've ever played, it even trumps TF2.

However, NS2 is nearly unplayable for me because multicore rendering literally has no difference between single, making the game run at 50fps (10-20fps in heavy fights) because it's only using one core due to the developers choosing f**king LUA for their netcode (the game's performance will not get better until they move it to C++ or a better language).

By the way, why is Graal stuck on 20fps? Graal in 30 or 60fps would be epic.

You traded an unusual for one game? Bwahahaha.

Let me give you a TF2 Economy lesson.

Keys are 2.50 from Valve's Shop.

Keys are 1.30$ "black market", which is what people go by for trading-- you can buy keys from trusted sellers for this price, which is much cheaper than valve's price-- it doesn't put in new keys into the economy though, which drives up the price of them in metal.

Sales of keys from valve's shop drives down the price of keys in metal.

My Unusual Grenadier's Softcap w/ Nuts n Bolts (crap effect) is only worth around 20 keys (http://backpack.tf/unusuals/227/Grenadier%27s_Softcap).

Since people go by black market prices for unusuals and games on steam, my unusual is worth 1.30*20=26$

therefore I'm only losing a dollar if I trade my unusual for natural selection 2, which is 25$.

Unusuals are stupid things to own on TF2-- all they do is attract account hijackers, scammers, and sharkers.

Crow 11-29-2012 10:53 PM

I had previously traded (unpainted) essentials for RAGE. I believe you could've gotten more out of that unusual, no matter how shitty the effect.

RAGE is a mediocore game with bad reviews-- it's no wonder why you got it for cheap.

10$.
http://backpack.tf/pricelist
according to backpack.tf you traded a 6.5key item for it, which is about 8.45

you saved 1.55$. that isn't alot-- I saved a whole 25$ because I got my unusual for free from a friend who unboxed a 20bud unusual during halloween, and sold it for over 12 unusuals+ keys+refineds+low craft # pipboy collection

also unusuals are impossible to sell for games, 95% of the time traders wants keys like the greedy nubs they are.
I just put up a trade and waited for people desperate to sell their "gift copies" of NS2 on outpost (people who preordered the game over 5 years ago got a steam gift of the game to give to a friend).

Rage's reviews have been almost unanimously positive from major outlets, and its metascore generally sits above 70. It took numerous awards back from E3, and was one of the highrated (console) games of that year. What the hell is "mediocre" and "bad"?

Woah who let the cat out of the bag...

I said I deserve them because im new to computer gaming anyways.

But clearly i dont because i do not have a burning passion, like you do. Hating other people for silly things, then posts their computer specs. Then goes off topic by declaring that you are a happy camper with whatever ***goty games you play. Pretentious.

Doesn't change either it's monetary value or the fact that I really enjoyed the game.

Let's then also consider the fact that I bought the essentials for 3 keys and a couple crates, and traded it for RAGE shortly after its release (when you couldn't get it for 10 bucks). I really don't see your point.

Fulg0reSama 11-30-2012 12:52 AM

Hopefully you find someone who can enjoy the games, only game in the list I liked was Darksiders and that is a lovely game.
