snowman changes

the snow-man @ unstick should be a community effort to build, not competitive.

after like 50k-100k snowballs contributited to him, he should get BIG and then we can go inside him and buy all sorts of christmas goodies from a shop inside, like the snowball cannon.

that would be pretty cool.

this guys has it right ^. what the heck is wrong with you era staff.

Although shops are fun and players like them... I feel like its being over-done. We have different plans for the holidays, starting from small events here and there.

i just want something that the community as a whole can work towards instead of being pressured into competing with each other.

imo there should be a variety of guns (on-par with top tier guns which already exist) which aren't sold in shops. players could still have access to the best guns on the game at relatively cheap prices from the shop but people would also have a chance of owning rare guns
the stats should be cared with very carefully though to avoid that these guns reach prices over 1mil

i also believe that items from banned players and new hats should be auctioned once a week or once every 2 weeks. players love auctions, especially how they used to be (the timer doesn't go up when somebody bids so everyone just bids at the last second) since auctions are boring as they are now and they rarely occur

Alfonso 2013!

That's not even how an auction works -.-'
Everyone biding at the last second is just completely useless, might as well have a 5 second auction instead of a 3 hour one?

Seeing as iEra is shot more towards those little kids who want a friendly atmosphere, while the Era PC has been more teenager-adult oriented, competition is more nature. If i saw "Community effort build a snow man" I'll be like wtf this is *** some 12yr old game ****. But if it's "Competitive fighting to build a snow man" I'd still be all like "ew *** a snow man" But a little less because it's more action oriented, rather then holding hands and singing kumbaya while taking turns building a ****ing snow man.

ya.

To be fair, your argument doesn't help, as the same thing happens with the current auction system. People still bid mainly at the end, the only difference now is any element of surprise is gone because it's just knuckling down to whoever has the highest budget.

While I think auctions are 'friendlier' the way they are now, I do agree with tk that the old system was a lot more fun.

I'm not really sure which I prefer. Either way, in the end, the items get sold.

Auctions should go up 2 seconds per bid, just so those who want to win have to be fast, instead of the 1min up endurance fest.

BlueMelon 11-29-2012 02:21 AM

If I remember correctly, if you get outbid the money goes back to your bank account. 2 seconds would not be enough time, maybe 10-20? idk. Its fine for now though.

Typically it goes back to your player if you're in the same room (it used to, at least).

bloodykiller 11-30-2012 02:17 PM

yes it goes directly back to the player, not in his bank account. currently every time somebody bids the timer goes up by 2 minutes which is really boring.
having 5 minute auctions with every1 bidding in the final 10 seconds was way more exciting and you had to consider how much money your opponents were willing to spend. i guess upping the timer by 2-3 seconds each bid would be fine but the auctions wouldn't ever be as exciting as they used to be. when chris was manager so many people would show up in auctions and winning an item at a reasonable price was a real "tactical battle"

taylor 12-05-2012 06:24 AM

In all seriousness I really don't know what the **** ya'll are talking about. Ignore my trolling... I guess that's what you call it.
